You must live under a rock & talk to nobody IRL because Grimes new Vanity Fair interview was making waves online.. you don’t even need to like her to recognize she’s relevant

I’d love to hear this now that we know it’s not going on the album

Two things weirding me out about all the leak discussions
1: Every Rule couldn’t sound less like Julee Cruise. Much more uptempo, the synths sound like classic AG, very little reverb, more hooky than dreamy & languid. Enough with the comparison
    2. Stop saying Yuck is a diss track. Lyrics depict a guy that likes her so much that it weirds her out. That’s not a drag. What part of that is so damning? Charli follows Huck on socials, he doesn’t follow her. She clearly has no problem with him. So why are people hoping she drags him on the deluxe? It’s weird. If she still has positive feelings for him, why tf would she do that? Stop it, let’s celebrate the fact she’s being mature & not doing what you all apparently want her to do

Why are you this emotionally invested? She's not the first creative to bullshit the public & won't be the last. Most singers sell a facade of being more involved than they really are. Britney Spears called Britney Jean her most "personal" album & she didn't even sing on half the damn songs. Who cares? It's music, she's not taking credit for the covid vaccine. She's not selling plant based meals that secretly have meat in them. How writing credits affect you to the point that you're driven to run a smear campaign in defence of Nasty Cherry & Halsey is weird & legitimately laughable. All of these people have blessed lives. If Sky's taking public pot shots for no reason, it's free entertainment. Playing morality police when it comes to pop singers is freakish. This shouldn't impact anybody so deeply. If she's such a fraud, stop posting about her?

That doesn't mean it's not real. It wasn't ever in consideration to be a Charli song without Tommy Genesis. It was Tommy's solo song and Charli submitted her parts to be on the remix. Makes perfect sense that she'd shout Tommy out.

there was quite a bit of pushback for caroline, but she just quoted the word. don't get me wrong, she was dumb as HELL for doing it, but she clearly didn't have any bad intentions behind it and just wasn't thinking. Slayyyter's acts were much worse, and she didn't "only do it once" or anything like that.
Both artists were heavily in the wrong, but there is a big difference in what they did.

Personally, I think both artists got what they deserved. Caroline's act still remains hanging over her head every once and awhile, as there are still people who bring it up.

just to clarify: in my latest posts i wasn't trying to diminish the severity of the usage of the n-word by white people.i know it's a serious matter and i know that me, as a white person, don't have the right to tell pocs how to react or how they should feel about this, i know they're the ones getting attacked and the ones who should decide the outcome with slayyyter or anyone who said the n-word.
all i was trying to denounce is this ugly, toxic, cancel culture thing that's happening lately on social medias, where people go digging into the past of some celebrities just to bring them down, to drag them, spread negativity and stuff. i hate this witch hunt shit going on. i wasn't focusing my thoughts on the racial aspect of the situation. i was just focusing on how bad the cancel culture is and how it brings nothing to the world. i think people should be educated instead of canceled because, yes, they fuck up and i know that it may be disappointing but we all fuck up sometimes, so can we just give celebrities the chance to learn and change?
i'm sorry if i seemed inappropriate about the n-word part of this, cause that wasn't my intention.

Anybody noticing the commonality with people defending her ignorance is that they're not from North America? If you grew up in America, you absolutely understand race relations enough to know white girls don't say that. Camila fucked up & still has penance to do but she's not the 1st non-black PoC to think being a minority 'gives her a pass' (J.Lo still has a career after I'm Real). That's a way murkier issue than this. If a white person said the n word at my high school in 2012, you were getting roasted. There's no excuse. She knew her language was appalling, she did it to be edgy. Ironic she's finally getting the attention she was looking for with those tweets.
