  1. I honestly think it’ll be out on streaming services worldwide all at the same time, idk. Usually her singles drop at regional times and her albums drop all at once. And of course book apps would probably be allowed to release it the day of in their regions (or I guess a couple hours early?). Idk maybe I’m being delusional (call me a clown later if I’m wrong idc) but that makes sense to me. The drop is very messy so who knows lol.
  2. Other than a 20 second clip of LA Who Am I To Love You that I heard on twitter, I haven’t heard anything yet, but I’m glad I get to read the poems for now because it truly is holding me over til I get to listen (most likely tomorrow when I wake up but maybe tonight!) I’m so so so so so excited to hear the music and how she says everything, especially after all the praise on here today (especially from people who had no interest in this project before)
  3. I love this poem and how she uses Bob Dylan as a symbol almost, like a personification of masculinity/the quintessential male experience. It’s interesting.
  4. I guess this means some of these short poems are just.... snippets... omg lol I love that we didn’t even know
  5. And this is the one I’ve been most excited for omg. I really can’t wait to hear it now.
  6. These poems are really hitting me hard. I kinda feel almost like Lana would be happier just as a writer, like writing poetry, maybe short stories or even novels. Maybe even plays, musicals, idk. She could have a normal life and wouldn’t have to share her stories anymore but could still write bc she seems to need to write. I wouldn’t ever want her to leave music but sometimes I just really feel for her situation.
  7. It’s interesting that the opening poem and closing poem kinda mirror each other lyrically(?) a bit
  8. I wonder what her dad’s gonna think of this, he never likes her anti-Patty stuff
  9. So there’s a lead single AND it’ll be in album format on Spotify and Apple Music BUT people still don’t consider this an album? Lol
  10. Thunder vs Ultraviolence
  11. With the poetry albums, she’ll be at 10 in spring (If Iron Gates isn’t delayed) so I don’t think she has anything to worry about. Plus she’s been releasing music for 4 less years than Taylor and is still at the same point so idk why she would ever try to compete anyway. She’s already technically ahead lol. (I did wonder though if Taylor tried to get her album out before Lana’s, but so she could listen to Lana’s in peace lol)
  12. F: Serene Queen M: Off to the Races K: Florida Kilos (Sorry thé post went through twice so I thought I missed the one before me lol) Happiness is a Butterfly, God Bless America– and All the Beautiful Women in It, Salvatore
  13. I love this theory because I’ve been convinced (despite the story she gave) that it’s actually a reworked song she wrote during her Fearless sessions (lyrically & sonically has that vibe) that Big Machine might’ve told her was too gay to release. (In another song she seemed to imply they wouldn’t let her sing about certain things, but maybe I’m wrong.) But that’s just my own theory bc it sounds like it belongs on Fearless and she woulda wrote that album at 17......
  14. I think it was Behind the Iron Gates that she said she’d go more into feminism in. I do wonder if there will be any controversial surprises in this one. Either way, people will find something to “cancel” her for again, but it won’t make a difference outside of social media.
  15. Me too! I also really liked the standard cover but wanted something different for my copy since there were so many choices and I also chose the hide and seek one. I thought the scenic ones would look the prettiest on a nice big vinyl sleeve. In the end, it was between this one and the running like water one, but I liked the blue vinyl better than the the grey.
  16. Personally, I think NFR is the Lana album with the least “Joni Mitchell” vibe to it and I’m convinced it’s only the one to get the comparisons because it’s the one where she made the most obvious references to Joni and critics don’t look much past surface level. I’d consider Honeymoon or AKA artistically to have the most Joni vibe out of all her albums. Sorry I’ve just been holding this in since NFR came out, especially after that pretentious Ann Powers review.
  17. My fave poem she posted was The Land of 1,000 Fires so I think that’s the one I’m most excited to hear. Also Barefeet on Linoleum because I really liked that poem too.
  18. God I need better Lana mutuals lol. My twitter timeline was entirely filled with Lana stans ripping her to shreds last night (sadly it’s often like that). But yeah I also saw literally every other stan community ripping her to shreds too. I hate it over there.
  19. I mean tbh the way I originally interpreted it was just that all her albums are her babies and that the one after Norman would be the little sister. The Violet thing I only thought of today because they’re both human names and it’s her next collection out into the world, so it just seemed neat to group them like that. I don’t necessarily think she meant anything tbh, I just liked how clever it seemed even if by accident.
  20. In the Chemtrails thread, someone mentioned the “Norman’s little sister” thing (sorry I can’t remember who!) and now I’ve been pondering that phrase again and I’m starting to think Violet is Norman’s little sister. I know that sounds weird but both albums have human names and are referred to by those names often. Idk maybe I’m overthinking that but I never thought of it before today so it felt like an epiphany when that came to me lol.
  21. There is an audiobook section on Spotify and it is like podcasts, but then someone on here linked an audiobook on Spotify that was in album form and they said there were a bunch like that so now idk which format it’ll be on Spotify but I’m pretty confident at the moment that it will at least be there. Hopefully as an album to make it easier for everyone to find, but I’m sure we’ll find it either way.
  22. I love this hair on her. The chunky blonde streaks in the front give me such pre-FM Stevie Nicks vibes and I dig that. Also as it was mentioned earlier here, her hair looks so much healthier here than it has in years, it was the first thing to jump out at me. Tbh I think she looks super pretty here and I was actually surprised everyone on Twitter was dragging her but then I remembered men are awful and are even worse on the internet. I also hope she doesn’t see the stuff people say because idk how I’d handle that shit.
  23. This info made me a hundred times more excited. I really can’t wait to hear it and all the other poems now.
  24. I want one of the vinyl variants this round to have two different colour discs like the UO Ultraviolence. That would be fun.
