I feel like maybe she just "came up" with it like she did with hollywood sadcore and surf noir and hawaiian glam metal. Idk, this doesn't sound like Lana at all. She doesn't even play any instruments. Like, it'd be interesting but Lana Del Rey and indie rocker Dan Auerbach making jazz? Nope....

Also, I'm not expecting a surprise release at all, she's just teasing like she did with all of her other releases. Btw, visual album is not an actual thing, Beyonce or her marketing team made that word up. Releasing a music video for every track isn't that uncommon (neither are surprise releases).

I always assumed it was an image that was super imposed over her singing, like a double exposure photograph. I could be wrong though.

I think the album will have promotions, but I think the first single will be an out-of-nowhere surprise and maybe come with a video already? (there was that mysterious private video on her youtube account, remember?

Is Billboard reliable? I don't really go there often so I don't know. If it is, I'd LOVE a visual album from Lana. If Ultraviolence is a visual album (keyword, if), I'd be curious to see how it stacks up to Tropico.

I'm not too sure if this has already been posted, but apparently Billboard said the following about UV:
'We can expect Lana Del Rey's next album to debut very high in sales here on the Billboard 200. We could possibly see a visual album from Lana, or possibly a film entitled Ultraviolence, telling a story of the whole album' and compared Lana to Beyonce in terms of visuals and artistry. The podcast in which they said this all is here.
