I have no idea what happened during Summertime but security got two young ladies out of the crowd. It was not a pass out situation. A fight? The lady next to me in the balcony and I could not figure out what happened. Minor drama... She did sing a song with Haley. I don’t know her so not sure of the name. No MAC again... But... I had a most special time tonight. I had a reserved first row seat in the balcony. And the venue was mostly GA. So even tho it was slightly larger capacity wise than my very first Lana show at the Ryman in Nashville in 2014 this seemed like a much more intimate venue. And smaller than the NYC Terminal 5 shows. I’m not arguing with anyone tonight about her setlist choices. I feel truly lucky to have been there tonight. This is why I see her so much! You kind of never know when one show will feel more special than others. On either side of me were young ladies seeing her for the first time. The one girl cried during mostly the whole show. We sang our hearts out together! The Terminal 5 shows have long held a special place in my heart as far as Lana shows goes. And now I will add the Madison Wisconsin show to this list. I am very glad I added this show to my Lana itinerary.

Not that one! 2017 post LFL. That girl’s video made me scared tho lmao. I left my glasses and wedding ring in my hotel because I was afraid I’d lose them... It wasn’t quite as bad as that girl made it seem but still just stupid pushy the entire time. Worse than Lollapalooza.

I love seeing her a lot when I can! I also see Father John Misty a lot (10 Times last year!). The shows are always a little different even if the setlist doesn’t change much from show to show. I have never regretted over seeing them. I don’t queue for most shows, and when I do it’s only for a few hours. I can’t do the all day or overnight thing. I am older than most of the crowd so I don’t interact too much with people honestly. But everyone around/next to me at her shows has always been super chill and nice (except for the pushy San Francisco gays at that one show...). When I do early entry I do see some of the familiar faces we all know from social media. I have never seen any rudeness. Everyone is always there to have a good time.

I will also say I thought this was a very young crowd for her. I am long used to feeling like the only old guy at her shows. But tonight it seemed to be all an especially very young crowd. This might be why she’d cut a new song versus an old one? At any given show people are seeing her for the very first time. Extra for a new city. This might have been the first time a lot of the crowd here has heard the BTD era songs live? That might also be presumptuous on my part.

I agree with Elle in that I like her hair side parted. She looks cuter that way. But the braid in the back tonight was pretty.

At one point she was talking to Byron about what to play and she said something like nah I don’t think so. I’m assuming that was MAC. I do find it pretty odd too she has cut it. Understandable for the duets shows I guess. I hope she brings it back. One thing that occurred to me tonight is that Yayo would be great on this tour. I think it would fit in nicely with the NFR songs. Probably a long shot pipe dream but I’d love to see her bring out that guitar again and sing it!

She did do Blue Jeans and OTTR but no MAC. I really can’t believe she cut it from the set. Otherwise I had another great time! My fourth time being at barricade. Way on the side and she’s never going to come say Hi to me but that works for me. It’s nice being so close. I was right in front of the swing. For Video Games she was *right* in front of me. She seemed happy onstage, playing a city she never has before. Appreciative of the crowd. The venue was a little weird, but not stupidly so. It worked. The sound was a little off I think here and there. The bass from the backing track was overly loud at times. But that could be me right by the speakers or whatever. She sounded fine. Fantastic even! I heard no whistling during WM. Copyrights came back to Pretty...

Really enjoying this lining up inside thing! Not nearly as many in the early entry line as I had feared with them still for sale so late.

Oh oh oh. And she said something to the effect of we love Chicago and are lucky to come here every year for a show or a festival. But she’s not done a festival here since Lollapalooza 2016 (also no 2017 date). Perhaps a hint at Lollapalooza next year? Wouldn’t be too surprising with the South American dates. We’ll see!

I heard someone from non vip say they were in line since 6am. That’s as long as I heard anyone was in line. And it was pretty damn cold today! I wouldn’t be surprised if people did it longer tho.

I had another great time seeing her. Absolutely nothing new in the setlist other than the songs with Lucy and Bethany. They were both kind of excited/dumbfounded that she asked them to play. Lucy said Lana DMed her only 3 days ago. It was kind of cute. It did cut into her songs tho! Unless my mind went completely blank during it she really didn’t do MAC. I see someone did put it up on setlist.fm so I’m not sure. Lol? No UV or Shades either. A couple of random things. She stopped singing the Copyright line in Pretty. And I swear I’ve never been able to tell if she actually whistles during WM or if it’s on the backing track. But it was live tonight because it sounded awful lmao. I need to watch a video to see if it sounds as bad as I thought. She sounded fantastic otherwise! Poor Lana... I’m bad at counting people but I bet there were at least 300 people for early entry if not 500. Checking in was a breeze and not messy but I think that was too many...

According to Setlist.fm she sang Young & Beautiful and not the medley. I imagine this is a mistake? I would prefer a full Y&B than the medley!

I would totally buy a Lana Christmas album! I would love to hear her sing Silent Night or Blue Christmas. I think it's cute that she's doing this.

I am happy for the small venues for this leg of the tour but that setlist really could use some shaking up...

I remember at Buku this year a fan got selfies with all the band and the dancers at a (commercial regular) airport while she flew in privately with her friends. Not condoning! But I don’t think this is a new way of doing things for her/them? Probably not too much to read into it is my guess. She rich...

I think she says Y’all this is just (stupid). Not sure that stupid is the actual word she said. But she obviously wasn’t ready and didn’t know the words. That’s it. She want pissy about it. She tried since the fans in front asked!
