I just wish she would have kept “lasso” to herself at that event at the beginning of the year. Like why even bring it up diva?? I just can’t imagine playing any song from this record a second time. It’s true it’s not a laughable train wreck of an album, at least in terms of the music, but it is painfully, painfully boring and devoid of any real point of view. Not a single moment of any of the songs lifted my spirit or perked my ears up. Lifetimes and Wonder are the closest we get to something good and even they feel like they would be filler on a good pop record.

The song is incredible. Just wow wow wow. sucks that we have to wait for the dead of winter for this to be out tho. Of course it’s not that insane as far as rollouts go, but in this day and age it feels unnecessary. A month is all you need. Hype dies so fast these days unless the song is a major hit. Next year tho, with FKA in January and Gaga in February is gonna start so insane tho so that’s cute I guess

I’m ready. Considering how infrequently she releases them, an album from Twigs is an event. The stereogum 10 year retrospective on LP1 had me revisiting that album and M3LL155X for the first time in a bit and damn they still sound so current. Her music is so timeless and I feel like so far everything she’s put out will still sound fresh 20 years from now.

I prefer streaming on Apple Music so I’m really hoping we get Lonely Road… it sounds like a kingdom hearts song or something and I love that about it.

I just don’t get how they’d have all this info like? They know about her perfume, they’ve heard half the unfinished album, they know about her personal desires regarding releases around the election, they know she had a disagreement with a producer earlier in the year? If they ACTUALLY knew all this stuff they’d have to be super close with her or super high up at her label or something.
