i’m very glad the situations in your countries are like this but where i live, in italy, it’s pretty different. we’re allowed to go out only for work or to go buy food and other primary things. if you go out “to take a walk” they’ll give you a fine. so sorry if people that are in the same situation as me wanted to escape through music, with chromatica, in this case. i’m not a gaga stan, and idc that much about the delay, but it was a shitty move and just showed how much fake and hungry for money she is. periooodt.

Stupid Love gets me hyped for love and all that, but honestly, we're all just dancing to it in our homes, instead of partying tf out of it among other things, maybe she's afraid the music'll just be claustrophobic bops

maybe she thinks things'll get worse and doesn't want the music to be associated with that at the moment, timing to art wise? it'd be difficult to have a happy album you're really proud of to be released and then coincide w terrible events (check out that mariah glitter gif)

to rebut my own thoughts, the music should really speak for itself, and should be enjoyed however the listener wants, but bottom line, she gets to decide how she wants it released, being the artist behind it, it just gets me a bit glum knowing we had these (well-deserved) expectations of it, only to have our hopes further delayed. we can't say it's anyone's real fault. both sides of things are valid n we can only trust her decision in hopes that it'll make the album sweeter to listen to when we get to
 

i agree now might not be the time to release music of that tone or it could be the perfect time? either way i do see how that could have impacted her decision... the bit that doesn't sit well is like there's nothing else been mentioned or said.
 
she's kinda saying that's it now til an unconfirmed date, i had all these surprises planned and when this is over we'll party etc sounds like she's given up for the time being. 
 
i would've liked something from her, even just revealing the album art, tracklist, anything... an ep or even a new song would've been the best thing she could do now, she must have a song about hope or positivity on this album... gift it to your fans. i dunno, like people have said its not a financial thing, she wouldn't be at that much of a loss surely by dropping the album digitally?
 
she could even upgrade all physical copies preordered on her store to signed copies, not like she hasn't got the time... i dunno. like people have said, we're trapped indoors and i wouldn't usually rush to listen to a gaga album but fuck if she dropped it now, i'd definitely give it a listen cos what else can i do other than sit at home and kill time?

I'm really annoyed about the delay cause what the f*ck gaga. My country goes into full lockdown Tonight and chromatica was the only thing i was looking forward to.

i don't really understand the point of delaying/postponing album releases during this time? i get that there is a literal pandemic going on right now and it's a really big deal and serious matter, but that results in many people bored at home, or needing an escape to help them get through such an uncertain and nervous time. so why not release the album now? i really don't think it's going to impact sales that much, it's not like in the past where you had to physically go to the store to buy the record to support an artist. nowadays most people buy things digitally or stream on spotify, and she can promote through social media very easily. and also i gurantee you guys that it will leak, if not soon, then before the album drops. 

I have to say corona is THAT girl, keeping her feet on the neck of these coward bitches fearing for their profit when they are already millionaires. The real main virus girl of the century did that.

Profit. And it's understandable in a lot of cases - artists are suffering hard bc of corona. Releasing an album nowadays mostly pays through performances. Artists don't get shit through Spotify & co. They mostly earn their funds through performances. Not being able to promote an album and losing out on the cash you get when touring a NEW piece of work is a problem for a lot of artists.
 
However, that's probably not applying to a rich (former) popstar like Lady Gaga. I doubt she'd have major losses because her concerts after Corona will sell out either way and she is big enough to still earn sonething through album sales/streams

Anyway stream After Hours by The Weeknd BC at least he didn't delay he's LP.

The way she talked about this album and how it's made to "heal" people and how it's all about the music, but now during these times where this album could help lots of people get through this crisis she/her team decides to postpone it so it gets more sales. This album's the only thing that lots of fans were looking forward to during these tough times, and now they just got nothing to look forward to. Why? Because of money. She's a fad. She's a fraud. She can't score a hit anymore without a big budget movie backing it up and without appealing to middle aged women worldwide. She's trash. She's garbage. And Stupid Love was not All That. The song got fully carried by its production but even then it was nothing more but a cute bop. She gave us a Born this Way reject with Artpop influences, aka she recycled old material cause she can't come up with something new. That's why she's copying Vogue by Madonna now with Babylon. Natalia Kills deserved better, RIP Lina Morgana.
