  1. After hearing Life Lesson and the entirety of this autotune heavy album, I'm definitely less enthusiastic about any further collabs ...

    Lorde

I hope we can get an album that's a bit less cringy when it comes to lyrics. I like her music but her always going 100% narcissist and never coming off her high horse is so annoying. The woman literally published a song called "Hold No Grudge" and sings about people "talking shit about old friends" with contempt when at least 80% of the tracks on Solar Power are her singing about how she is better and wiser and braver and more aware than anyone else and how everyone should basically be ashamed of not being as gorg as she is.
  3. Hey Baby Blue ... i Must Be Stupid ... Y'all constantly complain about "boring piano flops" and now you crave boring guitar flops 💀
  4. The whole "heaven & hell" stuff is so boring and overused though
  5. Weyes Blood "God Turn Me Into A Flower". Also check out Wendy McNeill's record "First There Were Feathers" or "Floating Into The Night" by Julee Cruise
  6. Sylvie Kreusch has some songs that sound very Lana-esque, especially "Wild Love" and "Shangri-La" It's the kind of energy that HM demos/ LFL outtakes had. Widowspeak's "True Blue" has a slight Lizzy Grant/ May Jailer vibe. "American Darkness" by Chelsea Wolfe feels like something Lana could have done more recently.
  7. What happened to those million ideas after NFR?
  8. I mean yeah it's rude and unnecessary, but its just one random post in an instagram feed with 16 comments. There are always haters and I do not think Lana really cares. Especially not for comments like that particular one
  9. Are y'all actually upset about some random accounts rude comment or just using the occasion to distinguish yourself as the real fans
  10. The video is pretty and the concept is cool but the way it was executed is far too chaotic and all-over-the-place

Love the video, love the song - really excited for this album
  12. OB is out since March, what use would it be to promote it now? Better to have a chance of getting new music sooner

Would be nice to have an album which has a tracklist of full songs as opposed to every second or third track being some sort of experimental 2.01min interlude
  14. I'd love an album with jazz inspiration, something like the Arcadia-soundcheck she did lately
  15. I really do not want Jack as the main producer for LDR 10. I LOVE NFR and I think his impact on this great album can't be denied. However, I feel like the reason for this is that that album thrives on the newly discovered chemistry between Jack and Lana, they inspired each other a lot and therefore created something exciting and new (similar to what habend with Dan Auerbach for UV). This spark is however missing from a lot of the stuff they did afterwards. You can still hear it on standout tracks like White Dress or A&W - but both of these were tracks Lana and Jack singled out as exciting collaborations themselves. For most of the rest of their work together, it feels more like Lana had hin since she likes him and feels comfortable working with him. But that also meant he gave the "standard Antonoff treatment" to her demos and - at least in my opinion - that leads to a rather bleak and unexciting output. When Lana worked with Rick as her "comfort zone producer", it still felt like he was giving the songs a much more unique, Lana-specific sound. Jack on the other hand has a temdency of making everything sound alike, with a kinda vague and non-committing quality.
  16. I think the lyrics are pretty forced amd it's obvious that this collab does not stem from an "organic" writing process between Nicks and Lana
  17. While I understand the process of changing and re-doing stuff, the way she turned BPBP into a meaningless Frankenstein track to forcefully squeeze in a Stevie Nicks feature feels extremely off.
  18. Can't see thevideo - what is it?
  19. Sam Smith is such the token LGBTQI+ of movie soundtracks. Guy is glad he is queer, otherwise his basic music would not be of interest for anyone
  20. I feel like the chance of her appearing as a guesr for the other artists sets is much higher than her calling them to the stage
  21. I still feel most people don't get that the "you" who can "do better than that" in the song is not Ellie but the man Marina is singing to.
  22. The F*cking Up Big Time Tour Performing 0 songs from her two commercially most successful albums BTD & NFR. Mostly slutty-songs about messing up in one way or the other with a lot of drums and e-guitar. Tracks that are switched out for some shows marked in green. 01. Florida Kilos 02. Sad Girl 03. Shades Of Cool/ Wild At Heart (version that features heavy drums, e-guitars and backing singers for the final pre-chorus and chorus) 04. The Trio Interlude 05. Arcadia (version that features drums and e-guitars as soon as verse 2 kicks in) 06. Flipside 07. In My Feelings/ Fucked My Way Up To The Top 08. Heroin 09. Honeymoon/ Candy Necklace 10. Religion/ Dark But Just A Game 11. Cherry (version with extended intro & her actually singing the chorus properly) 12. High By The Beach 13. West Coast/ Thunder (demo version) 14. Old Money (version that starts acapella and ends with a major string arrangement and the stage lights all fading out) 15. A&W (full song) 16. Sweet Carolina
