He's a nice guy, y'all need to leave him alone since I doubt any of you know the inner workings of their relationship or what terms they're on rn.

way OT but you can't honestly buy into Taylor's bs. She smeared Spotify and then when the biggest contender to take down Spotify is ready to be launched she makes a highly publicized comment and Apple changes their point of view overnight...? Suddenly everyone rejoices at Apple paying out more and Spotify looks even worse.

I wonder how much they paid her to make that post

the entire streaming service exclusive nonsense is a crock of shit, why would you want to limit the amount of access to your album when it's your 3rd biggest revenue stream behind touring and physical album sales

I don't know what interview you've read but in this one he mentioned Lana with other big acts " We have Tame Impala coming this summer, and Lana Del Rey coming this year.(...) So we have a good mix of developing acts and big acts coming back."

I see a lot of talking about Interscope role's as responsible by the underwhelmed performance of UV. They scheduled Lana on tv but she cancelled. Polydor scheduled BBC, promo concerts on France ( one of her biggest market) and she cancelled. Then she did interviews about death and fucking her way up to the top and feminist shit. Let's be real: she is the one to blame for. If we consider her label's POV they had eveything they wished for to promote Lana: a critical acclaimed album, her biggest debut yet, she was the #5 best-seller artist of 2014:

This all happened in the early schedule of UV release and this is probably just a tiny part of the whole plan, which means in a long run this album could have done so much better. After that they tried to release Brooklyn Baby and Black Beauty to try to get some money but you all know what happened. She is the one who abandoned her project ( Dec.19 Grazia Interview: "I’m afraid this album will be forgotten(... ) My new album will come out after ( tour), maybe for late-august".

Maybe she has her reasons and I'm sure her life was also a mess at the time but if Interscope decide to not promote HM fairly I won't even complain because as a label they have a point on what should they invest their money (But this won't happen, she is a big act for them after all).

omg at some of you guys with your melodrama and batshit theories.

You guys need to calm down and relax. Do you really think it makes sense that if Lana Del Rey was this hopelessly depressed, self conscious, self loathing woman that she'd release a piece of shit for an album so that everyone could mock her and drag her through the coals even more than they did before? Yeah that totally makes sense

If Lana is whoever you want her to be (the morose awkward woman you call her...a complete stranger to all of us mind you), it would make more sense for her to create a piece of work that she knows can't be dismissed in any sense of the word, just like she did last year with Ultraviolence, which some (not all) of you with your Kidz Bop-filtered lenses dismissed as boring and hookless. That album may not have yileded a billion copies on the Bareback Cardboard 100 chart but it certainly helped her earn some respect amongst the constipated Williamsburg brigade who thought she'd shrink like a little daisy in the wake of all their lynching.

Stop trying to deconstruct her brain and just wait for the music to come. We've just passed the 1 year mark since the last album. She's about to release another 1 sometime before the year ends, most ppl would KILL for that kind of frequency amongst their favorite pop stars.  I'm starting to wonder if this fanbase is as wacko and embarrassing as Lady Gaga's.

your over dramatics in here. she is one of interscope's most successful artists during the last couple of years. lana is not made out of glass. she goes into the audience at every damn show and basically said in every city this tour to hopefully be back in a year.

some of you oversensetive lana stans should really start stanning for somebody else and let this woman have a career.

And of course: Happy Birthday Lana. Be happy and successful, just like you deserve it my dear

So here is my account of the concert:

I wasn't pressed to get there early or anything since my friend and I had assigned seating and she only lived about 10 minutes form the venue so we got there around 7. I met up with a fellow LB member to spread the glorious gospel give them a CD and we chatted some until Grimes came on. Grimes was alright but I had forgotten to put in my contacts so she was literally a blur and her music is just a tad too weird for me. I went in the middle of Grimes' set to buy a shirt and then convinced one of the gate ladies to let me go get my contacts so I could see.

When she came on it was amazing. Her whole look was beautiful and she sounded amazing from the start. The sound was wonderful, I could hear her so clear and people weren't singing so loud that I was at all bothered. I had two people's tickets who were coming and had to let them in during Cruel World which was really annoying but it was alright, I was back in my seat by the opening line of Cola. I was sitting slightly off to the right from the stage but only a few rows back from the Gold VIP people so it was nice. I could see between the two people in front of me but some girl kept swaying so sometimes it was hard to see.

She talked to us a few times about how glad she was to be back and how lucky she was. She took a tiara thing from someone during UATW and wore it and looked like a literal queen. I wish she would have worn it the rest of the show. I was surprised at how accurate people were about fans sitting down during the unreleased stuff. I didn't care though because it just made my view better. Some guy caught her attention and gave her this giant blanket/flag thing and that started her 5 minute selfie and meeting session. She spent a surprisingly small amount of time in the pit to be honest - I figured she'd go down more than once and for longer but it was very brief. She did kiss a fan on the lips!

One thing I completely loved was she changed the lyrics to Born to Die just slightly to "if you make me feel at home, then I'll tell you you're mine". It was so perfect with the way she sang it. That was the first song I ever heard by her but last night she made me fall in love with it all over. Also, no one prepped me for the fact that she would sing "let me fuck you hard in the pouring rain" in the chorus. That got some yells. She unfortunately replaced Brooklyn Baby with Ride again, although she sounded fantastic singing it. Her voice all night was on point and she had completely control. It was amazing to see how far she had come from just last year in May.

Right after Shades of Cool the front of the pit began chanting something and she talked about "not having done that before". I'm assuming they were saying Old Money since that is when she decided to sing that for us. She only did the first verse and chorus and stopped though but it was very beautiful and very special that she did that for us. They began chanting again after she stopped (I SWEAR they were saying Honeymoon but it could have been wishful thinking) and she said "What is this? Karaoke night?!" and then said she didn't know that one.  Towards the end the people in front of me left so I had a great view the last third of the show. At end end she thanked us and said she couldn't wait to come back next year, sang OTTR and then left with her blanket thing the guy gave her.

Overall I really really enjoyed myself. I felt so lucky that she sang Old Money and was grateful she did UATW if only because it made the show longer. I was a little sad that she didn't perform Do Right but I think OM made up for that. After this show though I think I've decided when she comes back that I am going to do whatever the equivalent of Silver VIP is. My seats have been nice for the two times I saw her but I want to try the intensity of the pit, especially since she isn't meeting after anymore and I do want to meet her eventually.

Side note, I had post concert depression approximately 5 seconds after she disappeared off the stage. It was so surreal, I just wasn't ready for it all to end even though we got a longer concert than most and longer than last year. She is just so lovely.

I had a dream last night that me and Lana were hanging out after some concert (not hers) and somehow I stumbled upon...like diary? Entries of hers and one of them said something like "People are beginning to recognize Ultraviolence, I better drop all my promotion on it" and I remember being in the dream like I need to get on LanaBoards and tell them about this. Long story short my dreams last night were really dumb and I guess I'm really thirsty for Honeymoon

Hey, I was actually the girl in front of you in line who stood next to you in the pit haha.  It was great meeting you and I was so happy that Lana took your letter!

I had silver vip and got to the venue with my friend around 7:15.  I was 15th in line but became 6th once the vips were divided into their own line.  To reiterate what everyone else was saying, it was a huge mess trying to figure out what was happening for those with silver vip.  One venue worker who was extremely irritated (he just had to deal with a group of people fighting in the general admission pit line) told us that he had no information about vips and said we needed to split up into 6 lines for bag check.  Luckily everyone agreed to remain in the one line and keep our spots.  Once Natalie from VIP Nation came and gave us our wristbands, everything went smoothly.

Once escorted into the pit I was able to get the front right by the bottom of the stairs.  It didn't really hit me how great my spot in the pit was until she came on and I saw how close she was.  The show was amazing.  I have plenty of favorite singers that I love to listen to, but Lana is one of the few artists who's songs I feel on a deeper emotional level.  Hearing her live is always mesmerizing for me.  Although this wasn't my first Lana concert, it was my first time being in the pit.  Not sure if it was because I was against the barricade and had something to grip, but it really wasn't that bad.  I ended up getting a lot of great footage but rarely captured entire songs because I didn't want to get sucked into staring at my camera screen rather than her.  Right before Born to Die she said we were "one of the best, loudest, most energetic shows".  When she came down the stairs after Off to the Races I managed to get a selfie! I almost got knocked out by the guy behind me though that wanted a picture with her so badly that he smacked me in the head with his phone as he reached his arm out.  I was actually the last person she stopped for before she went back up the stairs and exited the stage.  My friend said that as Lana was taking a selfie with me, someone next to her reached out and pulled her hair  I'm just grateful she still stayed to take the picture even as all that craziness was going on, can't even imagine what that's like!  All in all the entire day was fantastic and I can't wait to see her in concert again!

You know, if you connect BTD and Honeymoon's lyrics from "Mr. Born To Lose" and "You and I, we were born to die" and the song Jimmy wrote saying "If you think you were born to die, and it makes you not want to try, fall into my hands again" which makes it kind of obvious that those songs are about each other (unless he just so happened to write a song about a girl who claims that she was born to die, and Lana just so happened to write "You and I, we were born to die" into a song and name it her first album, jfc.) So if you connect Honeymoon's lyrics of "Mr Born to lose" and where she says "We both know the history of violence that surrounds you" to Ultraviolence's "Jim told me that, he hit me and it felt like a kiss... Jim raised me up, he hurt me but it felt like true love..." And of course, Hundred Dollar Bill... ("I like your ultraviolent swing, I like it when you treat me mean, you turn my mood from black to blue...")

I haven't read the Lanalysis OP in a long time so Idk if this was mentioned there or not, but my point is, the violent theme/connection throughout these few songs leads me to believe "smarty" is Jimmy. "Beat me and tell me that no one will love me better than you do"

Hey guys, last time I posted the board went down, but I figured I'd post my experience at the concert anyway.

So, after debating over how I was going to camp out for Lana, I arrived at the Xfinity Center at 7am-ish. There were already a small crowd of people there, and I was marked 17th in line. It was expected to rain that day so I had an umbrella and rain gear, but luckily for me it never really rained that hard at all.

I waited until about 4-5pm when the VIP Nation people came, and the regular GA pit people were separated from the VIP ticket holders. Because I had a silver VIP ticket, I stayed with the VIPs, and was bumped up to #8! I was beyond happy, and after getting my VIP merch, waiting to go inside, I had made it the front row of the pit!! When Lana came out, I was ready to die, she was so close! I had made her a card, and when she came down during one of her first trips I managed to hold it up and catch her notice, and she took my card! She didn't do much else during this time except sign and take gifts, but that was my main goal. She ended up coming down to the pit 3(!!) times, and 2/3 times were at my side! The 2nd time she came down, I got her to sign the lyric book I had bought at the merch table, and she told me she loved me.

Overall, it was worth the wait. The concert was lovely, so much crowd interaction, and Lana seemed to get nervous at how loud and happy the crowd was to see her, she asked for a cigarette during the performance lmao (she also said we were the loudest yet, I don't know about that statement, but everyone sang along verrrrry loudly). I am beyond happy I got to meet her and to talk to her, even though I didn't get the coveted selfie, I wasn't exactly shoving my phone in her face. She got really into OTTR, and said she was thankful to the crowd for their support. Someone made her a Honeymoon sash and flower crown, but she didn't wear either of them ahah. The fans I met throughout the day were really nice, and the pit was actually quite relaxed then the previous venue I went to last year (House of Blues). It was pretty amazing.

I went and holy meatballs was it amazing. And i second hitnrun017...so many skimpy clothes!I witnessed so many boobs hanging out and butts (cracks and all). I wore a flower crown shamelessly. So here's my experience (also if anyone has a video of Ultraviolence pleaaaaaase upload it! I believe that's when she took my flowers)

Alright so I got to the place at around 10:15 and there was about 30 people there or so I got numbered by the fans in line 37 or somewhere around there. Waiting really sucked I was so impatient...every hour was like a day honestly. The fans in line were really nice! I was surprised because at her last show I went to in CT it was alot of jackoffs. Later on in the day people started freaking out and switching lines because there was a skip the line pass you could buy to get in 5 mins early and everyone was running like damn gazelles (why i dont know). The line eventually shortend for people who were GA and VIP. Let me say Xfinity was a mess...literally no organization and no workers had any idea what was going on and one guy was literally yelling at my mom for asking questions. He was the most miserable a**. When LiveNation for the VIP got there though they were soooo helpful and knew all the answers and happenings. Oh I was Silver VIP by the way. So I got numbered 12ish in the Silver and then we sat around for an hour then lined up according to number for about another hour it seemed. When we finally got in I was on the stages right and right in front of the stairs almost, and i was in the front row. Everyone around me was awesome and freaking out because we were like RIGHT THERE ON TOP OF THE STAGE.

So Grimes came out and she did a great job of pumping the crowd up. I like her recordings better than her live performances though. I wasn't very impressed but whatever she was fun.

When Lana came out for her set, the entire thing felt like a dream. Dancing, singing along, swaying my arms, seeing her in person. She's an angel. I didn't want her to stop singing. I only took a few pictures and videos because I wanted to enjoy the performance. (So many phones were in my face and my back was a damn table for people to rest their arms on) It was amazing. Her guitarist was right in front of me and I was just like YAAAAAAAAS. She took my flowers when she came down at one point and gave me the biggest smile (my mom took a pic but it was blurry) but you can still see her. And after she left the stage me and my mom asked for the cup she drank out of and we got it!! Creepy or not...it's pretty cool. People kept asking to take pictures of it. She only came down on our side once sadly...after Off To The Races me and the kid next to me had our phones ready for selfies and all and she didn't come our way and it sucked but im so happy for everyone else that got a chance to say hi and get an autograph or picture. Also I couldn't hear for 4 days or so after the concert everyone sounded like mice. And after when I was in the "line" rather blob to get merch I think i got cancer from the amount of cigarette smoke everywhere. I smelt Lanas cigarette at one point which was honestly pretty cool though. The guy overcharged me on my merch and I had to go back and they eventually did give me my money back that they owed me. Overall Lana slayed me. (I kept yelling "Lana slay me" and my voice kept giving out and Id have a coughing fit). The McDonald's i ate afterwards was phenomenal.

    Sun, which is less creepy.

Very unpopular, but I love the All that grace, body, face, party, etc line. It's hilarious and  after having a literal discussion about it with a few of my friends, we decided that even though it sounds dumb, how fucking flawless is this man that you want to drag him to heaven?

Playing Dangerous. I'd love it with different lyrics I think. I like "The house was already on fire, I swear I'm not a liar"

Scarface/Big Bad Wolf/ Delicious are the three worst songs she's written. The daddy daddy daddy songs are weird I guess, but I can't come for them because Little Girls is one of my fav Lana songs
