Being the occupier implies that they are in an OFFENSIVE posture. You can’t tell they are defending themselves when they are the colonisers.
 
saying the occupier defend itself is as absurd as saying a rapist is defending himself from his victim.
 
Palestinians have been : killed, raped, humiliated and held captive for 75 years.

All the people online acting like Lana is a victim While I do agree she was most likely uneducated about this, she is a grown woman and the public has a right to react when she does something, especially dealing with such a horrible situation. 

Just to explain a few things:
Gaza is the world's largest open air prison, they really have no government or resources, or anything close to what Isreal has so this situation is not equal in the slightest
The last election Palestinians had was in 2006, and that is how Hamas came into power but they are more like a gang than an actual military group or government
40% of Palestinians are 18 years and younger, so they had no say in this election
Israel was formed on top of Palestine, which stole land from the Palestinians and forced them back and back until they have barely anything now. People are kicked out of their own homes for Israeli settlers to live in, many of them coming from the United States. In their government and law system they are not seen as equal to Israelis and Israel has been killing them and causing them to suffer for 70+ years
So, Palestinians just want to live and they want their land and homes back, while Israel sees them as a threat to their "state's" existence and respond by constantly bombing and killing them. Many countries around the world recognize Israel's occupation of Palestine as illegal as well

 
These are things I wish they would teach us in school in the US, but the US is also very involved with Israel so

the terroristic government of Israel deserves zero cents of my american tax money (6 billion+ dollars a fkn year!!!) to constantly bombard, colonize innocent people that are in the way of another terrorist group that only exist bc they keep poking the bear. 
 
This has nothing to do with being anti Jewish in terms of their religion or ethnic people, the same goes for Palestinian, these groups have nothing to do with the specific people/entities that began this conflict and to this day are still throwing money at it. I  still do not understand how people cannot separate both.
The drama between powerful men-children fighting over real estate should not have mass casualty of civilians as part of the package. This world is ridiculous and demented; we as a species need to evolve beyond these conflicts that only propagate the military industrial complex and the wallets of a few.

Not to mention, this isn't the 70s or 80s anymore, access to information has never been easier, literally one click away and she could've learned and read/seen all about the history of this ongoing genocide, especially now when for the first time ever it seems public opinion is swaying a bit into the palestinian side and videos are being posted literally everywhere. Not to mention the amount of american musicians and artists who've been very vocal about this such as kehlani and the fact that lana is friends with Elyanna who is palestinian.

And if she was living in her own bubble and hasn't been keeping up much with what's going on, then in that case maybe she shouldn't be going around signing open letters taking stances.

Israel is holding 5,000 hostages (prisoners of war). Stole 50,000 acres of land by gunpoint weeks before Hamas invaded. Israel sniped children in the face that throw rocks and uses them for child labor in their stolen settlements. They are also trying to starve them to death. They also color code them, which has only been done in apartheid south Africa and Nazi Germany.  They just have to get their land back and peace will return. 

first of all it goes to show how uneducated you are on this situation because ISIS has nothing to do with palestine or hamas. it’s tragic on both sides but this is not a pro-peace, pro-palestine statement, otherwise their entire goal of the statement would be to save those injured children and adults. it doesn’t even mention palestinian victims anywhere. and where is anybody here saying that they condemn “taking babies and elderly captive…”. it’s controversial the fact that most of these celebrities have NEVER stood up for what palestinians had to go through for 75 years, and whether you like it or not the death tolls on the palestinian side are much more tragic. they don’t have the entire US behind their back and funding them. don’t speak if you don’t know shit
