Going to be honest. On first listen, I don't care for the production on any of these songs - they all sound like demos, and they all seem a bit messy/unpolished. I also think she'll get dragged for Text Book's chorus w/ the BLM reference. But still grateful for new music.

Maybe Lana actually used to rollerskate a lot but I am imagining it's more significant in the video. Like in Ride, she was riding down the road on the back of a motorcycle that someone else was controlling which I'm going to pretend symbolised her letting her lover take control and just going wherever he was going. But in White Dress, she is rollerblading (herself totally in control) down the road, meaning she had total control at that time in her life.

my copy arrived today! it's beautiful. i think it was such a lovely idea to include the reader to write their own poetry at the end there as well, i think i may write a few things when the time is right. it just makes the book that much more personal, to have your own thoughts upon the same pages as the author. i will cherish this book forever. <3
