it was the album version of lolita, i thought it was really intriguing and i began listening to her other songs, and i slowly became a massive lana fan

Doesn't it also kinda upset you that there's so many people out there who hate that song and the meaning behind it?

  2. Dark Paradise, specifically. In the Spring of 2012, a friend of mine recommended Lana to me. He mentioned the Born to Die album but specifically recommended the songs Off to the Races, Video Games, National Anthem and Dark Paradise and DP being the first one I listened to. In June of 2012, a group of us purchased tickets to see her in concert for $20 each and I had front row seats and I was so mesmerized by her live performance of Million Dollar Man and I've been hooked ever since.

BTD 10th anniversary re-issue with an extra disc of reworked unreleased tracks incoming :trisha:

That was be fucking amazing! I would love to hear an updated version of Serial Killer and Hollywood's Dead since they were recorded during the BTD sessions.

This is one of the things I wish Lana would have kept with. Had Lana used one the the other group shots taken for COCC that had a horse in it (such as the Spotify pic disc); then Lana having some kind of transportation on every album cover would still be a thing. COCC kinda broke with that tradition ?

I guess having at least one variation with some form of transportation on it still counts actually. Even if it's not the official cover.

OMG I totally forgot about the horse! That is a very good point. I was kind of ambivalent about her choice of a cover for COCC but now that you just pointed that out, I'm a little upset LOL. I really do hope that we can just forget about the break in tradition and continue it.

such a beautiful song & beautiful music video, one of my all-time favorite lana del rey music videos, cinematic, nostalgic, vintage... a cultural reset :godlaugh: also, she's absolutely gorgeous in this video... her hair <3

I'm kinda sad and jealous that I didn't get the chance to know about Lana during this time. I became a fan after Born to Die was released but before Paradise was released. Though, I did get to watch her perform Video Games live in 2012 and it was only then that I grew so much appreciation for the song. Everything you mention is what makes the song classic and timeless (even if the lips still scare me).

    I care about:

    - Release date

    - Tracklist

    - Producer

    - Concept

I hate being left in the blind waiting for things to happen

This is a very good point! Though, we know Lana is fickle with her concepts. Based on the LFL trailer we got, I was under the impression it would've been a more witchy or darker aesthetic. She definitely needs to communicate more but I think she has an obsession with doing everything on her terms which often leaves her fans in the dark until her label forces her to do otherwise.

  7. So here's a question for you guys. Would you rather have Lana or the people she works with actually give you all the details that you want about BB and risk possibly over-hyping the album or would you rather everyone be low-key about the details and find out for yourself when it's released? Either way could be good or bad. All I know is that I had known that she was working with Jack again on COCC and I was hyped because I truly loved NFR but was so let down by it so I guess for me, I just want to know that she's trying something new and leave it at that.

  8. I attempted a mockup of a cover for RCS. I know it's not the most original but I wanted to incorporate a closeup since it looked so good on the Honeymoon UO LP but also have a border to give it a more polished look (I know some weren't fans of the LFL cover because of this) while keeping it modern with Lana's new name logo. Also, I'm no expert so in the words of Lana: "if you judge me, I'll kill you."

Well, that selfie from today is absolutely gorgeous.
And you guys already know how I am about Lana and her nails...last time she had baby blue acrylics was when she did that beautiful shoot for Interview Magazine. Lana + baby blue nails are always a win, so something must be coming soon!

Whenever we see Lana with these nails, I immediately go back to to her 2014 Rolling Stone  cover with the cat!

So they still haven't shipped my order from 22 days ago and there's still no new drop... disappointed but not surprised!

Also this post :rip: ttps://www.instagram.com/p/CN0DRnoHBCi/?igshid=6rpj1dd7drzf Edit- they deleted it

Seriously, I would give them my entire paycheck if they actually shipped everyone's order in a reputable timeframe or if they kept their word and actually gave us new merch. I'm honestly getting tired of tees and totes. I miss the good ole days when her merch included coke necklaces and lyric books.
