i think chemtrails is better than norman. norman used to be my favourite record and all, but recently i’ve been finding it underwhelming and repetitive with the same melodies going through almost every track (and these melodies aren’t really phenomenal to be honest). and on chemtrails i think there is something about each track that makes it its own and i don’t think it fades into one as some people say. plus i think it’s more experimental than norman, songs like dark but just a game or tulsa jesus freak are very unique and i don’t think there are any similar ones in lana’s discography

Okay, so I'll rant a little about her response to her sons in that interview. 
 
How her son chose to speak out about her mother says a lot about how he's raised. The lack of respect towards her, not even a word about the conservatorship but omg she's posting censored nude photos that's where we cross the line. What to expect from someone raised by KFed? Also, the people in the comments infantilizing him for being 'just a kid' , umm he's old enough to drive, old enough to consent in many countries and old enough to live alone in the US. Can we stop infantilizing teenagers as if they're on the same mental level as elementary schoolers? Would you as a teen publicly bash your mom, would a teen you know personally do that? The answer ia probably no. She had the right to defend herself and she wasn't bashing her sons at all, but rather who raised them and how they're raised. 

Exactly. Those boys have obviously been manipulated but that doesn’t mean they can’t be held responsible for what they’re saying. Ultimately, they’re old enough to choose to take a step back and think a little deeper about the situation but they won’t. Agreed, and this opinion has nothing to do with them as people - they are probably very nice - but I'm not gonna sit here and say their work is outstanding just because they are her siblings. I think some of Chunk's work is good, idk enough about Charlie's to say - but they are limiting themselves by predominantly working for their sister, and they are definitely limiting Lana because she cannot say no to them.

my unpopular opinion, on a connected note: sometimes my problem with lana is that she seems unable to distinguish valid criticism from unnecessary hate. sometimes she receives really warranted backlash or criticism for stuff, but because she had so much cruelty and hate throughout the first few years of her career i think she can't tell the difference and she just lumps it all in together. i wish she'd see the nuance in things a little more 

Please don't attack me for this but I don't understand what anyone means when they say her lyrical style has improved. To me, it "seems" more mature because she's referencing different things now and writing in a different formula, but to me that's not an improvement. That's just a change. 
I actually have more trouble getting the real meaning of her songs than I did from AKA to Honeymoon. 
Ever since LFL it seems like she is trying to put in more meaning but everything comes off as vague and so unspecific,  like "only God knows what I mean" or "only the true stans will get it" and I'm honestly not into that. I think she has more trouble expressing what she's trying to say than she ever has. I think this is also why out of the 4 new songs I like WFWF the most because it's more of an expression of emotions and what has happened to her, no speculation or wondering what the significance is supposed to be.
I'm not expecting anyone else to agree. 
Edit: when I say these criticisms I'm actually glad that it seems most people are much happier with the current music, because it honestly feels like I'm missing out!
