I don't see how any of us can be mad when Lana's giving us two albums in one year, and our understanding that whatever she serves us is 100% what she wanted and chose for that album. 
 
I've never burned myself out on leaks, so whatever we get will sound pretty fresh to me, anyway.  

wait.... okay so the way BOZ worded the info regarding "outtakes" being on the album, i assumed they were mostly unheard outtakes that hadn't been leaked.... but this last post made me not so sure?? now i feel like there's a higher chance there'll be 6 previously leaked songs on the record 

literally who said it was reworked into a piano ballad?
 
Boz was asked if there was more instrumental than just piano and he said there’s a lot more than piano

Yeah, but there are PLENTY of songs that are outtakes that we didn’t know about 
 
(LMLYLAW is a UV outtake, Yosemite is LFL, NAWWAL is NFR) 
 
The other 3 unknown outtakes are almost guaranteed to be songs we haven’t heard 

I understand not wanting songs we have already heard, but it’s not her fault they leaked and people have listened to them. Maybe her intention was always to leave them aside for a future album who knows.

Okay I've just caught up on this thread and I wanted to note on this - 
I feel like this may be a possibility? BoZ noted that there's also a Barrie outtake on the record, and Barrie was present at the recording studio when Cherry Blossom & Colour Blue were originally recorded. Since not much is known about Colour Blue, even its title, perhaps Barrie had credits on that song that we didn't know about? BoZ added that the outtake was one we hadn't heard before, but perhaps he only knows the title of it rather than having listened to it, and since we don't know the true title of Colour Blue, perhaps that could be it? Just theorising.

I don’t mind her putting outtakes on an album because they’re still new songs to us.
 
I think one of the outtakes could be Dealer, since it’s a COTCC outtake 

BoZ said the original album included Fine China but she scrapped it.

@Nahime I’m not the biggest fan of Chemtrails either. It has it’s ups and downs, and it’s okay to dislike it and say it’s not your cup of tea. However, I think you’re taking it a bit far when you’re calling fans here delusional for being understanding of Lana and her process of making an album, and also when commenting on Lana’s mental health. We don’t know anything about it after all. If she has songs she’s made in the past and feel like they’re ready to be put on an album, I think we should be grateful for that. She’s an amazing artist (with incredibly annoying promises of album releases - I agree), so let’s give the album an honest try before throwing it away, okay?

Songs scrapped or not, outtakes included or not, using unreleased tracks that were never meant for us to hear prematurely, whatever songs she includes in this album and wherever they came from from whatever year, I know she’s gonna deliver an album that will be beautiful

I don’t mind having outtakes never heard by anyone in the new album because they are technically new songs and also they can be very interesting and not so stripped down like her most recent work. But, if this means she’s not creatively inspired it can be the end of us lmao

Thinking clearly, Chemtrails wasn't a bad album at all. I just think the placement of the tracklist is... weird.
We start off with some really powerful songs. White Dress is an amazing opener, and then we have songs like the title track, Tulsa and Dark. But then, the rest of the songs were too mellow. It went from 100% to a 10% real quick and it felt like we never quite reached the climax. 
 
I complain about Banisters having only piano, but even if they're ballads, it can be a beautiful album. If the tracklist placement is well done (with songs transitioning onto each other, etc) then it might be a great work

Re: Recycling Old Material for an Album

I like to think of Lana’s entire work as a metaphor for a dwelling. Every album release is a room in the house, each with its own personality, aesthetic, and vibe. The things inside of the room (aka each track) can be from any given store, retailer, catalog, etc… In other words, the songs can be from any era but the key element is that they were purposefully chosen, and they ultimately work together to create a beautiful album. When you zoom out and look at the dwelling, it becomes a living repository - a meticulously crafted archive of who she is as an artist and as a person. 

The thought of a Brooklyn Baby sounding track just after Text Book and Thunder is so SEXY that's the 1-2-3 tracklist punch I would be HERE FOR
