She announced new album called “SVET-LANA” and the first song was Rasputin (yes it is cover of the famous song but in my dream universe it was an original song written by her). Anyway she was being cancelled so hard, US put arrest warrant for her and everyone on the news was dragging her from left to right.

    I have to say, I am a die-hard fan, but if she makes a Russia-themed album, I might have to unstan :lmao:

    Can someone tell me what the deal is with Zendaya? Why is she everywhere all of a sudden? The poor girl can’t act (or at least not in dune) and from her various appearances she hasn’t struck me with having a particularly interesting fashion sense too (bar that one C-3PO appearance at the dune premier). So not sure why she’s been given the honours of being a co-chair :wtf2:

    So if she is indeed working with weeknd and diplo, and she also posted a Jimmy hendricks song the other day imagine if she completely 180s the country genre -EDM, dark pop, classic rock elements - alongside timeless visuals and of course vintage country/folk themes.  She could once again redefine pop music

    I don’t think the problem with previous years has been the theme but rather designers and celebrities trying too hard to stand out and being unable to do that within the set boundaries of a theme. There were fantastic examples of theme-related outfits but they were sadly in the minority. However, knowing Lana, I know she will serve and stay on topic. Her “holy spirit” dress was one of the best met gala fits ever

    edit- I should clarify, I won’t not stream the album or LYTAN / Zodiac if they are on Lasso. I'd just rather new songs or if she’s gonna do unreleased, Hey Baby Blue and / or IMBSFBSH.

    But we haven’t heard either lytan or zodiac.. why are you against them? And meanwhile you want hbb/imbsfbsh which we have in fact heard

The hologram cage interlude talked about women being mothers or virgins and how those are the only acceptable choices in society. But then goes on to talk about sensuality and creativity and not being caged by just the two choices of virgin or mother. She’s mused a lot about motherhood especially in Ocean Blvd and I think this could all point to her giving up having kids and just focusing on her career, her art. Also the ending where she’s carried out felt like a funeral instead of the usual psych ward vibe, then she’s almost reborn into a new era that is just for her. Of course this could all just me being tired af and unhinged.

    Same setlist, same guests apart from Billie being swapped with Camila. Outfit 1 was the same as last week but black; outfit 2 was country coded. She sang hope on stage and the outro was a hologram. Her vocals were really good and her energy was great
