Maybe a long dead topic? Either way, I made a IG story with the expectation of embarrassing myself (I did), and it looks like I am awaiting on a further response on one of the Starlux Hotel pics from Chuck herself lol. Lets see if anything happens later! 
 

 

There's a lot to talk about with this song, but I just want to get down that the Greek mythological term for Nectar of the Gods is 'Ambrosia', which would have made an interesting title on an album which also featured 'Arcadia' (another Greek mythological name, this time for a place associated with calm and simple pleasures).

Just be aware that he had a long run of books which are almost literally unreadable, where he would cut up his writing with scissors and glue, and retype the resulting gibberish. I'd recommend 'Queer' if you liked Junky, and Naked Lunch, which starts to be experimental, but is at least sort of readable. After that, you can jump to the trilogy he did in the 80s with Cities of the Red Night, Place of Dead Roads (my favourite of them) and Western Lands.
 
I even more strongly recommend tracking down his records and audiobooks - a lot of them are on youtube, and the stories make much better sense when read by him, than if you're just trying to work through all the accents and affectations.

The Other Woman is probably top 3 most beautiful vocal performances she’s ever given… she made it her own & flipped the perspective of the lyrics. Absolutely her best cover. 

I don't care about repetitiveness. Your Girl, Guns and Roses, Is This Happiness and Angels Forever are some of my favorite lana songs. I think sometimes it even contributes to the song's comfy-ness

After all the songs we are getting from her earlier sessions with Barrie, I think we can appreciate that she felt the need to change the lyrics of The Next Best American Record.

Pretty sure it's referring to 'walking away'/leaving her, ie, if you're going to leave anyway, just get it out of the way so we can move on.

I'm shocked at how many people don't like her voice here. I remember gasping when I first heard her voice in this song because of how beautiful it sounded.
