Does anybody know the clearest /most professional recording of Ultraviolence live similar to how they did it at Hyde park? Based on the vids I’m seeing, it seems like it hits so hard, so full of energy. The guitars are amazing.

I think people just literally make shit up when it comes to filling in the gaps with Lana’s story. and wow that would be such an odd, surreal moment seeing patty and rob in the wild (and on Sunset no less). Just seeing patty in the flesh would be extra impactful now that she’s kind of the resident villain of the LDR mythos

I was on Reddit (not the official Lana subreddit one but a general discussion thread for Ocean Blvd.) and somebody was matter of factly talking about how Rob’s not married to Patty anymore and that Lana actually gets along really well with her step mother…. Like…? lol nobody even called them out either

I hope they are picking up on her references. That’s one of the best parts of her music, and always has been. She’s genius at it. And the surf rock part of Peppers is one of my favorite parts of the album. I think I’m addicted to how she says “Wipeout!” in the background.

The group vocals in the chorus are really not helping in this regard. but yeah, it’s really the only song on the album I’ve had any kind of negative response to, and it’s superficial at that.

I don’t know why I’m feeling like such a hater on this one but Margaret is so corny and schmaltzy to me. I can’t listen to it. Especially by the time she emphasizes the party being “DECEMBER 18th” then is like “let’s waltz this out kids”…im ready to tap out.

Recently I toured Sun Studio in Memphis, Tennessee. This is famously where Elvis got his start and recorded all of his first hits (as well as Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, etc). The whole studio is really small, pretty much just one room, but totally steeped in music history. Anyway, the guide was talking about all of the artist who have recorded there over the years and name dropped none other than our girl. Does anybody know what Lana recorded there? When I searched it, I see that Lana toured Sun and Graceland a few years ago but I didn’t find any info on music she recorded there. I guess I should have asked the guide but a lot of people were chatting him up after the tour and I figured he probably wouldn’t know.
