    Agree to disagree on that one. I am in the “pro-Jack camp” mainly because he won me over with his versatility when Mariners and Venice came out. His main quality is : “You lead the show, I will bring my talent to back it up”. Love that Masseduction (love love) doesn’t sound like NFR or Melodrama (liked) or Taylor’s albums (not a big fan of pure pop).

     

    I agree but to a certain extent... I have to say that some Taylor's and Carly's songs really sound similar. I was listening to Comeback by Carly yesterday, and You are In love by Taylor was in my head... I found out they were both produced by Antonoff. I think that's because they are both very pop and there wouldn't be such risk with Lana but I hope he doesn't fuck it up (and I'm a big fan NFR, it's her best with Ultraviolence and HM).

    girls some of y'all might be real mad at me for what I'm bout to say but if she doesn't post up with this big talk about evoking her feminity and being a "glamorous person" and doesn't give us that 2012 sex siren with hair towering to god, talons the colour of blood and 5 stacks of faux mink lashes I'm gonna be embarrassed and disappointed...like I don't want non of that lady of the mountain canyon unbrushed hair and juul bloat jack anotoff is my yes man shit with the rants she's put out.. there's technology and teams of doctors to get you where you at sis..give us that emancipation of lana comeback

    I just hope she emptied her feelings and that she's fine. I've been feeling so bad during these days, I really can't stand any negativity concerning her, she's precious. I just hope we can move on and leave this dark days on our back.

    This album is gonna be everything Ive ever wanted: Pink, glitter, beats, dance, 90s, lighthearted, no artistic pretense,Just for fun, maybe a bit basic or generic, but gay as fuck. Can't wait to dance ROM while im drunk af in the club and looking for some dick. Yas, the gaysTM truly won.

    You're 100% right but she put her point across in a muddled and incoherent manner. We live in an society now where you have to be crystal clear about what you're talking about BC if you're not someone, somewhere will drag you regardless of the intentions behind what you actually meant.

     

     Honestly? It's true that in this time and age one should speak as clearly as possible. But I'm also tired of witch hunts, judgements on intentions and scapegoatings. These people aren't woke. These people are even more ignorants than the ignorant ones. Getting Lana down, for things she didn't say, will not advance the women or POC causes.

    And btw she was clearly not attacking  or accusing those women, she was just providing examples. Yes, she should've been smarter, but also people need to get better in text comprehension. It's not her fault the web is full of functional illetarates.

    Can I say something as an european? Yeah she shouldnt have mentioned those female artists. But I don't get why in the USA you're all so obsessed with seeing racism even where it's evident there is none. She mentioned black women AND white women. It's clear it's not a racism issue.

    why does the majority dislike tnbar? i find myself really enjoying it and I actually really like what she did w this version. and love song too??? it’s always so low on everyones rankings and my feelings get so hurt because the second I heard the first snippet of it I knew this was gonna be one of my favorite songs and that’s still true lol. anyways heres my two cents.

    this whole album is a MASTERPIECE and I rlly hate ranking it (you could probably tell) but this is as best as I can do so :smile:

    I personally dislike TNBAR because the demo is so superior and it really doesnt fit sonically with the rest of the record. It's clearly a Lust For Life outtake. The demo is a great track on its own.. but this new version in the context of the album is just a filler track and it breaks its flow. Admitelly TNBAR Is the only nitpick I have with this record.

    Yesss! I hope it's coming soon. When Melodrama came out I was in a crazy time of my life, I was living in Paris, and I've never connected to a record as much as I did with Melodrama. I have definite visual memories for each song in my head and I think this is my favourite album ever. I hope L3 will be just as good. Can't wait!

    Yes yes ofc I didn't want to know the exact Number of songs we are missing, but just a general idea.. I mean, like if some more 100/150 were to leak in the future I'd be surprised. Did this bitch even have a life? Lol jokes apart, I really can't conceive how a single human individual could create so much, and have a perfectly good output on many occasions. I really admire her and Charli XCX so much, they're are so prolific. Ofc someone who is in the field may think this is normal or common, but a as a person who lacks this kind of talent it always amazes me how a single mind could produce so much.
