I dunno if it would have made a super big good impact even if it was worded better. It came out at a time in her career where no one was really dragging her for "romantasizing abuse" anymore. If anything, I wish she came out with a statement like that when Ultraviolence came out. I dunno why she didn't--  didn't she at least have twitter back then? she also could have explained herself in an interview

Wow. That Amy Schumer post is incredible. It's such a perfect, nearly funny, example of the out of touch self centered ignorant celebrity. It could be in a museum

To be fair I can see how celebrities feel pressured to give their basically useless 2 cents on every current issue because society for some reason has come to the agreement that they should "use their platform" or whatever. I remember back during BLM in 2020, if a celebrity didn't go out of their way to post against racism and police brutality, twitter users assumed that meant they SUPPORTED it (lol, wtf?) Then twitter users started complaining that they were just "all talk" and celebrities started being pressured to show receipts of donations. I remember when Lana specifically didn't post anything about it, people used it to leverage the idea of her being racist.

Now I think it's about time we step back and look at how absurd this SJW shit is and agree that it's ok for celebrities to just... be quiet like in the good 'ol days, or else they'll keep coming out making ignorant statements

(i'm not really gonna touch on the issue at hand with Israel cause i'm saying all this generally)

the terroristic government of Israel deserves zero cents of my american tax money (6 billion+ dollars a fkn year!!!) to constantly bombard, colonize innocent people that are in the way of another terrorist group that only exist bc they keep poking the bear.

This has nothing to do with being anti Jewish in terms of their religion or ethnic people, the same goes for Palestinian, these groups have nothing to do with the specific people/entities that began this conflict and to this day are still throwing money at it. I  still do not understand how people cannot separate both.
The drama between powerful men-children fighting over real estate should not have mass casualty of civilians as part of the package. This world is ridiculous and demented; we as a species need to evolve beyond these conflicts that only propagate the military industrial complex and the wallets of a few.

this this this. twenty one pilot fans forcing the frontman to tweet out #BLM like if that was going to do anything. Like no, i do not need sheltered, upper-middle class white christian suburban men who say th word f^aggot for comedy to put out their uneducated two cents about police brutality, like wtf lmfao

US government [who loves to meddle itself up everyone's ass] and the politicians [aka puppets] funding and supporting Israel in the name of "Christianity" and the "Holy Land". The only "holy land" these puppets should be focusing on are the poor towns in the Midwest and Appalachain mountains. Too bad helping civilians is not profitable, but making them suffer is.

while i do agree with you that celebs shouldn’t have to use their platform to support an issue.. esp one of which they aren’t really educated on..
but like the reason she was looked at as “racist” was due to really poor timing and her poor wording + following responses on QTFC
when Floyd’s death happened QFTC was released just a few days prior if my memory serves me right (along with Lana continuing to name celebs that are POC as her example/comparison to herself with that being the main issue of the entire thing combined with well… basically how WOC/and just POC have been viewed through history especially in the context of lana being the “delicate” one in comparison to them and ariana who people also seem to think is a poc instead of recognizing the issue that directly naming people is a lot more personal and comes off as an attack than generalizing with something like “the current women that are charting sing this and that but when i do it from my perspective and in my own way..etc”) and to add onto that she was posting about donating for hollywood forever cemetery or something at the same time which I mean.. is very okay!! she should posts whatever she wants and obviously she has a connection to the place but with everything else going on at a time there’s a reason that shit looked really bad to people which was a mix of really god awful timing and just qftc being qftc. ..

and while the whole SJW thing can be incredibly fucking ridiculous and there should be an understanding that celebs shouldnt be your resource for current issues the point is she can still be pretty ignorant at times

*anyway all around a bunch of bafoonery from many celebs and while im sure lana means very well i have many doubts she actually knows much of what she signed or the actual situation..

She should have just sat there and ate her food. Like be quiet. Between the random “I’m poor” videos and this, we’re inching back closer to the 2020 period. We need another yeehaw flop album like ChemTANKS/Blue TANKisters to complete the trifecta.

Her mind, it amazes me sometimes. She said I can’t be loved too much, gotta do something stvpid to tarnish myself quick. The Grammys are also coming. Hopefully Ben takes her Instagram away during awards season so she won’t do something stvpid on social media.

Honestly, the best time was when she deactivated her Instagram. She is so painfully uninformed, and it SHOWS. It’s better for her to not engage and just stay quiet.

I think what's special about that song is that it's just so innocent and truly about nothing other than being happy and in love. It's kind of like Say Yes to Heaven in that way, so it makes sense that both songs are really popular
