I'm kind of hoping for no re-working on Nectar of the Gods, I listened to it last night while driving down the empty highway and it was just beyond gorgeous. If it is reworked I hope it's minimal because the spareness of that track is really powerful.

I do hope Cherry Blossom is reworked though, it has so much potential but still feels a bit incomplete.

And as for BB in my album rankings, I am anticipating top three. There are already enough amazing songs on BB to put it ahead of BTD, Paradise, Honeymoon, LFL and COCC as long as most of the unheard tracks are decent/not bad. If the unheard tracks are beautiful and there are not many skips/filler, and if the album flows cohesively, I could see this edging out UV for #2. If all the unreleased are masterpieces and among the best of Lana's songs, then it could edge out NFR for #1. Right now I am expecting BB will probably be #3 or #2 for me.

I hope Lana reworked Thunder, Nectar of the Gods, and Cherry Blossom. I'd actually be disappointed if they were the same as the leaked versions.

Genius is not always a reliable source, and yeah anyone could have edited the lyrics, but having Lana recite some Sylvia Plath as an album interlude feels entirely plausible. The word "beautiful" is in the first sentence of the lyrics, Lana has already recited T.S. Elliot for the Burnt Norton Interlude, and we know Lana idolizes Plath and has already referenced her in Hope and in her poetry, and Lana likes to repeat the same themes and motifs in her music so this just seems like something she would do. I am really hoping Beautiful is not a poetry interlude, because the album already has the Trio Interlude and there are so few songs on the album that I haven't already heard.

But also, the Blue Bannisters Wikipedia page lists the writing credits for each of the songs, and Sylvia Plath is not listed as a writer for Beautiful, so that would suggest that the Sylvia Plath lyrics are fake. Does anyone know where those writing credits came from, and if we can trust them? I was also wondering if there is going to be a cover song on the album, or if Sweet Carolina is possibly a cover of Sweet Caroline (please no). But if those writing credits are true, it seems like Sweet Carolina is an original song and there are no cover songs on the album.

I just want to add a small note regarding using English.
This is an online fan forum, with fans from all over the world. Some of us here have grown up hearing, speaking and reading English since we were toddlers, while others have been taught in school (or elsewhere) and are still learning. I'm confident in my English language skills, but I, too, am still learning. There are still times when I go back and edit something I've written that could've been formulated better. Some of LanaBoards' users are 40 years old or older, some of the users here are 15 (or perhaps even younger - I'm not sure since we don't really have data on it). What I mean to say is that it's only natural that we're on different skill levels when it comes to mastering a language, so please be kind to each other here. I want everyone to feel welcome to share their thoughts and excitement, even if they're not very confident in writing in English. This website is an excellent place to have fun while practicing your English. The guidelines encourages all users to use English so everyone can have the opportunity to join a discussion and not feel left out.
Now, I hope we can leave this behind us and continue being hyped for the album!

    Hi everyone.
First, I just wanted to apologise for being sort of spotty this week. I was out of town for three days this week while I was filming a TV show (& yes, I stayed at a Hilton Hotel), and today I was out for the majority of the day supporting my friend at the funeral for her newborn.
I finally had a moment to check in, and I saw this thread sort of took a weird, off-topic turn. I moved all the fighting that occurred in here into the Random Conversation Thread. In the future, please refrain from having off-topic arguments in the Pre-Release Thread. & as always, if something someone posts ever bothers you, feel free to send in a Report or contact me or another mod directly.
Also, I moved the discussion about your favourite song from each album's track-listing into its own thread, not only because it was a bit off topic, but because I think it's a really cool topic of conversation that deserved its own place of discussion. You can find the new thread for that here.
Well, since it's been a very long and exhausting week, I'm going to go take a nap now lol. Please behave, all!
    All my love xx

Why do I have a feeling that this album is going to emotionally destroy us? When she talked about bringing old collaborators, friends and family to write this album...putting old and new songs on it. It's like with this album she's curated everything that defines her. It feels like a farewell and an epilogue to this 10-year chapter. I don't know how I'm supposed to feel. I'm heartbroken but on the other hand I think she'll feel liberated. Social media can be insufferable and one's mental health should be their top priority. On the other hand, @Arcadia is right. It feels like she's forcing herself to smile. I really hope nothing bad has happened and this is just us overreacting but this video is slightly unsettling.

And I can't believe Blue Banisters & Arcadia are playing on Spotify as I'm writing this...

Arcadia is so beautiful! I have a feeling we are going to get a top three LDR album, sitting next to NFR and UV in my personal trinity. For me, the production style and melody is like a downtempo Paradise. I’m loving the return to the baroque chamber pop sound with more lush sounding strings and piano composition. The emotion and the storytelling and lyricism is like NFR/Chemtrails. I really feel Fine China would have fit into this album perfectly, but maybe she will save that for her unreleased compilation.

I also love Dealer and that is one of her most intense and unique vocal performances she has ever served, but she made the right choice not putting it on Chemtrails. It’s very pissed off and anxious sounding. I’m not really certain dealer will fit on BB either, but will wait until I see how the album flows before I make my judgment.

One question: I know the Grammy has some eligibility rule that a certain percent of the songs on an album need to have been written or recorded in the last few years for an album to be eligible at the Grammy’s. Will all the old songs on this make BB ineligible at the Grammy’s? That would just be criminal. It is Lana’s turn to get her god damn Grammy and I would die inside if some stupid rule blocks her eligibility.

I am so excited for this album, but the one thing that makes me sad is that there are only five songs that I haven’t heard yet. We basically already know the album is going to be amazing because we have already heard a majority of it. I’m glad the dealer leak is LQ, so I can still look forward to hearing the HQ version, so I have six tracks to look forward to. I hope a few of the tracks are slightly reworked just so that I have a little more new music to enjoy when the album drops.
