She can wear what she wants. It sure seems like a lot of trolls want to tell people what to wear, what to do, how to act. Lana has no interest in being a Hollywood glamour girl at this point in her life. Maybe she actually knows what’s important in life vs what isn’t important.

These folks who have been body shamming Lana; what do THEY look like? Do they look as good as Lana does? I doubt it.

Also does any else find it interesting in the entertainment business that Adele gets praised for losing hundreds of pounds (with a diet which nutritionists advise against) and looking nothing like she did before, while Lana gained a little weight and is now back to her natural hair color?

This obsession with being thin is a huge problem. I'm a guy but all the women I know and some of the women on here keep saying how they dread getting older because of all the scrutiny.

You know how Joan Baez just painted Lana? I saw a recent picture of Joan Baez. She is 79 years old, has not done anything to enhance her appearance. She has just grossed older and embraced it and not cared about what people say. I respect that. Fuck society's backwards standards. Who needs those standards!?!?

Corporate propaganda indeed. The media is very bias and dishonest and is hell bent on dividing people are creating problems where there isn't one. This is why we need to being back the fairness doctrine.

Adele lost weight (a lot of weight) and she gets praised left and right. She is skinny now and the media loves it.

Lana Del Rey gains weight and people go nuts. Lana isn't overweight. She has the healthy figure as a 35 year old women. But the media establishment wouldn't know that. Have you ever seen any of these actresses or models in person? Its frightening how thin they are. Its unhealthy.

We have a society which is pressuring girls into being something unnatural. This is why so many young girls deal with eating disorders and self harm.

And the really skinny models in ads is problematic. I think it was Spain (not sure though) that put in a law saying that models can't be starved and can't be too thin because it became such a big problem.

And I'm also tired of the body shamming going on. Too many women in Hollywood are stick thin and its unhealthy. At least Lana doesn't starve herself. But we know she gained weight from quitting smoking and I salute her for quitting. I quit too recently and quitting smoking is hell... literally!

Adele loses weight and gets praised. If someone gains weight that is somehow bad. Heck my therapist tells me to gain weight even though I eat well. I just have a fast metabolism.

Thank you! And you know why I’m passionate about her? Because she is the only person who ever made me feel valid. I have literally struggled with horrible things and Lana is my safe place.

Song titles are not always as they seem. I prefer not to read too much into a song title before I have actually heard the song.

At times, Lana's songs can flow like a David Lynch film where things are not exactly as they seem, they provoke thought and various interpretations.

I actually wouldn’t worry about her taking a “long” break. Musicians do take breaks but I just don’t see Lana taking a break that lasts several years. I feel like she is always up to something and always creating. When it feels right she releases something.

When did that happen? I didn't see that.

So does log lady's log have a message for Lana? I know Lana is a huge David Lynch fan so I know she would be interested in the log's message!

That’s because Madonna knows that what Lana said was true. Madonna was making music before Lana was born and knows the truth about the music business and its double standards. Coming from a music biz family myself I can verify that.
Back in Joni Mitchell’s day there was no social media. You released music and people focused on that only. That is what we need.
She’s not going to quit putting out music. She just isn’t interested in the whole Hollywood establishment. She goes to some industry parties but I can tell she doesn’t want to be there. She’s not into the superficial. She makes music but she does it for the people, not the establishment.

I really don’t know much about Marina. Musicians are complicated people and it’s not uncommon for friendships to end

I'm a huge David Lynch fan. The woodsman in Twin Peaks is my hero! "Gotta Light?"

The press doesn’t get excited over poetry. But we as Lana’s fans can do our part to get people excited about poetry
