It's kind of a lyric which a teenager would write on the internet :toofunny:

"Skinny-dip" in general is a really cringy slang for me, it's something that should've stayed in the 2010s and people should've come up with a better word :crossed:

The term skinny dip was being used in the 50s though lol

Not really, history tends to repeat itself in many ways, so the message could be still relevant in one hundred years, for example. Also Lana's political songs aren't like 100% political, so you could have many other interpretations too.

They're quite vaguely written, it just seems unnecessary honestly but she's going to do what ever she's going to do lol

I just realized the title “Lana Del Rey - American Standards & Classics” is actually very pretty. Imagine the album cover with a cursive typeface, Lana in a vintage get-up. Maybe shot by Neil Krug. Who sees the vision? :oprah3:

I'm not actually sure if it is a title. If you watch the live stream (from Denny's) it seems like she was just describing what the album would be

  4. I think she always considered Paradise an album but had to promote it as an EP so called it an afterthought in 2012. Excerpt from an interview posted in March 2015

Does the Big Eyes song give us any indication of how the new album will sound?
It’s very different from the last one and similar to the first two, Born to Die and Paradise. I finished my last one [Ultraviolence] in March and released it in June and I had a follow-up idea. It’s growing into something I really like. I’m kind of enjoying sinking into this more noirish feel for this one. It’s been good.

Pretty sure it goes like this

    1. Born to Die

    2. Paradise

    3. Ultraviolence

    4. Honeymoon

    5. Lust for Life

    6. Norman Fucking Rockwell!

    7. Chemtrails over the Country Club

    8. Blue Banisters

    9. Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd

I'd understand if we were talking about the average person, but we're talking about someone with a huge platform 🙃

Whether we like it or not, Lana is not a small artist, she has a huge amount of followers and her actions carry weight...

There's nothing wrong with holding someone accountable.

The world will remain the same if we keep allowing people get away with their "honest mistake". Not choosing a side is choosing a side.

Held accountable for having a different opinion to you?

I think it’s more so to do with lana (and other celebs) expressing their opinions and views on it without being actually educated on the topic which can influence their audiences opinions on it as well. not necessarily their fault that people who follow them are inclined to not do their own research or take the words of a famous person on world issues and be influenced by them.. but like when you have a platform and you choose to connect yourself to a serious topic publicly you should at least know what’s going on

Correct me if I'm wrong but she didn't actually say anything to her fanbase, just agreed with an open letter along with a bunch of other celebrities and that list leaked. Not even sure she posted anything about it. Celebrities influence children mostly, most people don't care about their opinions on anything. Then again people kicked up a fuss about her "Question for the culture" and even fans I know in person didn't hear about it lmao. Nobody cares. Some fans act like they have nothing else they could be focusing on in life and rant about another person's opinions, projecting their own anger onto someone who doesn't directly have anything to do with them. It's aimless. If anyone has a problem the most they can do is comment on her latest photos on Instagram :rip: What's the point?

She should have just sat there and ate her food. Like be quiet. Between the random “I’m poor” videos and this, we’re inching back closer to the 2020 period. We need another yeehaw flop album like ChemTANK to complete the trifecta.

Her mind, it amazes me sometimes. She said I can’t be loved too much, gotta do something stvpid to tarnish myself quick. The Grammys are also coming. Hopefully Ben takes her Instagram away during awards season so she won’t do something stvpid on social media.

Honestly, the best time was when she deactivated her Instagram. She is so painfully ignorant and it SHOWS. It’s better for her to not engage and just stay quiet.
