Do we think Chemtrails has a chance to show up somewhere in the Grammy nominations this year? I just wish the Academy stopped switching her to the pop categories (aka the popularity contest) cause other genres seem more fair to the artists

I think the covers album and LDR9 are still equally far away but I think the covers will come before (it's probably going to be digital only so that way she can release something while the physicals for the next record are being produced)

I think she just bought the rights to prevent the album from being released without her consent (and to actually own the masters of course) so I don't think she has any plans of re releasing it. As much as I love this album I think it's better that it stays that way. I can already see the thinkpieces about some lyrics and her "authenticity" (even though you can actually see how Lizzy Grant and Lana are the same and not a persona created for her major label debut)

If it was any other artist I'm sure they will be already rushing a MV (or even a lyric video for the meantime) but I don't think Lana cares or that her managers and label have the power to make her shoot a video for it. She probably has a 2/3 MV per album cycle contract and anything beyond that it's just Lana's preference. For better or worse at this point she is way above the music industry game. We won't get that much content alongside her albums but at least we know she's not bound to having a hit to be able pump out records anytime she wants. I'd love a video for Dealer but if we get anything it would be one for IYLDWM (lowkey my favourite from the album so I'm not complaining)

What cover did you get? The standard one looks nice (but the back pic with chuck and the cat is a bit blurry) and the gatefold shoot is also high quality. If you compare it with the BTD vinyl it's not as HD but that's just Nicole vs Neil

I'm still thinking about the alleged Kali Uchis collab. I can't see her on a folk/acoustic song so maybe we are indeed getting a poppier/R&B album this time. Also back then Mike said they had at least 1 song for the album (WFWF) so it's safe to say they were working together for some songs other than that (also it wouldn't make sense to hire him for a single piano ballad). Maybe we are getting another vanity project like Honeymoon until she can continue her story and talk about her karmic lineage

If I remember correctly there was some kind of drama regarding a rule that said something along the lines of "if a song wasn't written and recorded specifically for a movie it can't be nominated". I mean it makes sense they require original songs and not ones taken from an already released album but Y&B was literally released for the film (even if maybe she didn't originally wrote it for the soundtrack)

People dragging a song where she literally says Your interest really made stacks is kinda iconic

But the album isn't even underperforming like ?? There are thousands of artists out there that would kill to have Lana's numbers. Even labels would kill to have an artist like Lana that doesn't need much budget and still manages to maintain a loyal fanbase, critical acclaim and good sales 8 albums into her career (and don't forget how good her tours do too). US first week sales were fucked because of the physicals but the full numbers will be good anyway. Lana is set for life (just with BTD royalties) and she does this cause she loves the music. She could have the biggest flop of the universe, get dropped by her label and still continue to put out records every year so who cares

I'm sure Interscope is already trying to convince her but I don't think she cares but she seems to really like Dealer so maybe we have a chance

I was watching the live from the other day cause I tuned in halfway through and I can't stop thinking about what other projects she has in mind cause she can't stop mentioning them but at the same time she doesn't give any details about it It's not about acting cause she answered a question about that. Not a new album/covers/book cause she already talked about them. Maybe it's the musical she was writing with Rick

Maybe they roll the fix in different regions at a different time? Here in Europe the chorus sounds clean even at full volume (and it didn't when the album was released)
