I kinda agree but it also depends on the artist. It sucks that labels are forcing their singers to release short songs with beats/melodies and lyrics catering to tiktok but there are still artist like Lana that still do their thing regardless of the music industry state. If her songs go viral there it's a win in the end cause it means promo and success and that means more budget (even if Lana doesn't use it ) but at least it cements her status as someone who can still be successful releasing what's true to her and having full creative control of her output. As long as tiktok doesn't influence her approach to her art (which it won't) I'm fine with her music getting to more people. Tiktok Lana stans on the other hand... those annoy me

Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd - Merch & Media Drop
Venice Peach replied to Elle's topic in New Releases
I think it would have been announced by now -
Charlie posted an IG story from hunterfrogman with 1 second of Lana. Probably for one of their weird projects but she looks really good. https://instagram.com/stories/hunterfrogman/3008763140512358553?igshid=MDJmNzVkMjY= I hope this works I'm not sure how to post stories I'll download it anyway just in case

Yeah I'm so happy that it's a full song and not just an instrumental track with few vocals like the reworked version where the snippet came from
-
I can't believe LA Who Am I was the actual title from that song and that it's from the LFL era Lana will never fail to shock me. I can't even imagine that melody with Rick production cause it sounded so poppy I need it immediately

Timeline of Lana lead/first song to real lead/second single so we can speculate about the second coming of DYKTTATUOB (also cause I'm bored) - BTD: Video Games (sometime in summer 2011 June maybe but was later rereleased officially on October 10th) -> BTD 30th December. 2 months - Paradise: Makes no sense to discuss this one - UV: West Coast (April 14th) -> SOC (May 26th). 1 and a half months - HM: HM (July 14th) -> HBTB (August 10th). Not even a month... I miss her. MTWBT was also released just 1 month after HBTB. - LFL: Love (February 18th) -> LFL (April 19th). 2 months but I blame this one on the unfortunate early leak of Love. Here things start to get weird and unpredictable - NFR: - Chemtrails: LMLYLAW (October 16th) -> COTCC (January 11th). Around 3 months. - BB: Triple singles (May 20th) -> Arcadia (September 8th). More than 3 months. - DYKTTATUOB: This is the first time we got our first song of the album with the whole preoder and since theres only around 2 months for the album she can't really stretch it too much. The title track was released 1 month ago already so it makes sense for a new track to come sometime between now and early February. It wouldn't make much sense to wait until March to release another single since the full thing would be coming out already and late February would also leave too much empty space since the title track was released Lana likes to release as much as she can early and from a financial point of view it also makes sense to put out something to remind people of the album. Even BB had a "proper" lead single with Arcadia so I think that's what's coming next this very same month

The "leaked" tracklist has like 5 pixels per word there's no current or future IA capable of deciphering that Our only chance is when stores actually upload it or update the mockups with the full pictures in a higher resolution or at least the full back cover (which is weird that it didn't have the tracklist already)
-
I wish she had released LFL earlier so we got the first version of the album it could have been among her best. That was the album that marked her transition to her new "style" with songs like Change and Coachella (really late addition too) so maybe she realized that was the route she wanted to go and that's why she ended up discarding the tracks that sounded more classical Lana
-
It's Fingertips (but probably a different version) cause it shares lyrics with the first snippet that leaked but with better sound
-
I think that's been happening since 2012 sadly I wonder if that's how title track, fingertips and Arcadia demo leaked from Drew since he was a newer collaborator and maybe Lana didn't warn him enough

Miss taylor probably has all their socials and contacts confiscated so they don't slip

Plssss this is so shocking but it's also so fucking funny Your Girl and Fine China being tailor-made mixes for Eclipse cosplaying Lana is not something I could have ever imagined. Like imagine if she put Fine China and Your Girl on BB and we thought she reworked them... only for those songs to be actually older (and realer) than the ones we had
-
I don't think the tracklist is out there hidden in a random web store (yet) but what we know is that the whole album was uploaded in November to that shazam-like web where we discovered Candy Necklace but sadly the only way to get the titles is by uploading a snippet of the songs I hope that when the date gets closer stores update the album info with the listed tracklist (cause I doubt Lana will post it at this point )
-
I know ~300 mixes are a lot but I'm not that surprised considering LFL has 2 really different versions so each little change on each adds up (unless they are only counting the final version ) The 100 LFL concept demos were suspicious but after VOTD and Sugary Sweet it almost seemed legit... not anymore of course but I'm sure there are a lot of outtakes (and according to boz they are really good too

The dragon slayer omg

So were the (I guess fan favorites) that she reworked in 2018 for an actual unreleased compilation or was she just considering some old tracks for the next record? @BlackoutZone Sorry if it was already asked, this thread goes too fast
-
So the NFR outtakes aren't even good I still want the other VB version tho
-
I'm glad we're getting so much info cause that 2012-2014 period is the most mysterious one on Lana's timeline. Next would be the pre LFL alleged hundred concept demos and the post LFL/pre NFR stuff... but we'd need another thread for that

I don't mind LMLYLAW getting simpler production, the biggest loss for me is the fact that she picked the best part of the song and relegated it to the bridge That melody deserves to be played at least twice on the track not once (even though it has so much bridge energy that I can't imagine it as a prechorus unless it was rerecorded and the delivery was different ofc)
