There is absolutely no need for a surprise appearance other than FJM tonight. That other person is already having all the attention in the world today (and every other day of the year), how much more exposure and attention does that person possibly need?

i like this album but i love a good mean spirited album review tbh they are sorely missed in the age of 10/10s to every popstar album

the songs from the new album she played sure sounded good, a lot better than what I was expecting tbh but what happened tonight was inexcusable. I was actually enjoying what she was doing at the start, but then things started to go downhill really fast. she's always making her stuff last minute, not to mention the amateurism in DJing, given the fact she's already been doing this for a few years now. and then she made everything a lot worse when she stopped multiple times to try to explain what was going on and then she would scream in frustration like  it is the most grimes shit ever to happen but still reached a new low. it made lana's mic situation not a big deal at all, this is going to be named the worst coachella performance of this year without a doubt

lana should REALLY consider a live orchestra if she wants to keep doing those many ballads that would upgrade the experience so much like imagine arcadia but with beautiful strings? that could be the highest point of the show! the way the band is currently set right now doesn't allow the slower songs to really shine. you see they work really well with higher energy songs like west coast but when it comes to songs like bartender it all gets really quiet and weird 

Can we celebrate the fact that she was finally on time...?

despite all of the sound and setlist issues that was a motherfucking gag idc, I'm literally floored right now. she looked so 2011/2012 that it was just kind of a surreal feeling to see it. like she had entered a time machine and transported herself to 2024 straight from that time, so I caught myself getting a bit emotional multiple times because I really got to be her fan for that long and it made me realize how time really does fly.
the entrance and the exit were fucking iconic and for the books. I will never recover from them  and ofc the glam team, styling team, stage design team, the pole dancers, the backup dancers, the background singers, the band... every one of them did their parts so well

Okay but fr can we acknowledge what an unbelievably stunning voice billie has good lord I was mystified 

Humiliating that Billie was effortlessly singing pitch perfect notes while fucking around, as Lana struggled to JUST get words out of her mouth during literally every song 

I’m just saying I’m glad I watched this from my bed and not from a cold desert floor with a twink screaming about Billie in my ear 

Idk about u guys but I could feel the tension like all the way throughout, like lana was definetly stressed or angry or something

I think she needs a better tour designer or someone she can work with to make her shows a cohesive performance cause it seems like she has good ideas (the motorcycles, the terrace, the stripper pole, hologram) but like with the awkward transitions and minutes of dead air in between some tracks makes it seem like the show was never ran through in full before being put on and then all the other shit that was wrong with the show performance wise and technically like gurl this was rough 

I know it's hard pill to swallow for some fans, but for a lot of people, unless you're a hardcore Lana fan, she's just not a very exciting live act--and if you add the lack of upbeat material to the equation, it really doesn't help defeating that perception. 

And I thought the setlist couldn’t get worse
