    Disappointed by this review

Actually, the more that I think about it...Black Bathing Suit and Dealer are pretty much trolling the press, and he fell right into it.

I want the next album to be completely unhinged.  Give me an album full of wild vocals the normies can't take!

I get your point and I sort of agree, but you didn’t need to fat shame him… or anyone, for that matter

i just don’t think fantano as a fat and ugly straight man is really the demographic for lana.. he’s never gonna get that feeling of sexyness and the vibe in general while listening to her music JUST GIVE UP

it's a little ironic bc that's usually the track people DON'T LIKE from ultraviolence

(if we're excluding guns & roses, which i'll never get why people hate it )

Tbh if she takes a longer break between BB and her next album,  I would like to see a shift in sound . Something that it not predominantly piano . I know that she is capable of spicing things up , she is known for changing soundscapes .

Cherry Blossom hits different when you think that Lana's singing for you directly  almost as if she's looking out for us especially when things get complicated or hard

Beautiful (this one hasn’t properly hit yet)

Straight up masterpiece. I’m trying to write a proper, extended review of this album but the way it kept catapulting its way to the top with each listen… it might be a top 3 album alongside NFR and Honeymoon

I’m not SUPER active on here all the time, but when did everyone start to hate NFR? Last I checked, it was the general consensus (from like everyone in the world) that it was her greatest album? Did that change now that BB is out (well, now that weve heard it)

Is it me or does Chuck look like she’s trying to hold in her baby for the entire BB music video? She looks uncomfortable as fuck..

Pitchfork on that sweet carolina verse:

“It’s funny and real, a reminder that the people we love most aren’t just the ones to whom we dedicate our earnest love songs—they’re often the recipients of our dumbest jokes.“

I actually really agree with this, one of my favorite verses, I think a lot of people are missing Lana’s sense of humor. and of all publications, PITCHFORK??? Gets it??? for once??

I am obviously just a little bit obsessed with Thunder since the unreleased version 🙃 I was terrified I wouldn’t love the released one as much or more than the unreleased version but I DO!!! I think the new swelling strings and instrumentation are more cinematic—it helps you actually picture the scene she is talking about. It feels like it could be in a coming-of-age movie when you realize a relationship with someone is ending—at a party, you glance over at them laughing with friends and thinking how you can’t remember the last time you saw them laugh or light up like that around only you. It’s heartbreaking and lends so much power to the song. I am so grateful. I have it on repeat

I like this album, I just wish her instruments, especially synth, could be louder and more complex. Maybe next time? I want some loud/trippy sounds with her voice.

I feel like this is the album Lana’s wanted to make for a long time. Not sure how else to describe it. It’s so “her” at this point in her life.

TB: i love this song so much more as an album opener over a standalone single. Lizzy vibes
BB: still a cute girl, I like it much more after seeing the MV
Arcadia: listened to it too much and currently tired of it, some of her best vocals on the album tho
    Interlude: we twerkin
BBS: meh…y’all overhyped it. it’s fine
IYLDWM: my current favorite on the album. vocals, vibe, instrumentals…perfection
Beautiful: gorgeous lyrics, such a vulnerable song
VFR: my second favorite on the album, i have to force myself not to listen to it toooo much though. it has that sound that will get old fast to me if i listen to it more than a few times right away. love the sentiment, this one will resonate with a lot of people
    Dealer: GO OFF LIZZY
Thunder: i loved the first version we heard, but i surprisingly love the rework, especially for this album
    WW: still so good
NOTG: i had no idea this was wild on you lmao, belongs on UV
LL: fine, was never a huge fan
CB: has such a different vibe now that lana’s an auntie  fits perfectly on the album
SC: SO SWEET, rob and lana did that

Faves so far: IYLDWM, Violets, Thunder, SC

    I give it a strong 7.5/10
