    Blue Banisters is simply amazing

I wont lie: I’d love to see this finally available for streaming, even if it gets repurposed for the covers record. I don’t know if it’s just a matter of my own nostalgia, but I still think it’s one of her best renditions.

side-note: how cool is it seeing how reflective this cover is of her more recent releases? She posted this a few months after Paradise’s release, and it’s bizarre how versatile she can be!

I’d happily attend 45 parties with hip hop and rnb tbh

Episodes 4 ending with Cal’s revelation to his family, wow, he did that.
I hope he bumps into his high school friend this season, only so i can witness some serious zaddy sex

    Cassie is an absolute trainwreck.

the song would've been perfect when cassie was trying to get nate's attention and he kept ignoring her

    what a waste

why’s no one talking about the fact the credits version is the second version? it’s more stripped back and there’s a discreet electrical guitar. can we have the full version now please?

I'd rather be the real damn thing than the prettiest girl in country music. There's no end to her ability to just write epic one liners. And the story of the song continues proving she has this innate ability to build such great lyrics from things she hears people say. Like when she said the Dennis's last stop before Kokomo line was literally a boyfriend telling her the bar they were in was the last place Dennis Wilson stopped in at before his death.

I’m honestly in love with this sound. Most mainstream artists attempting country just release pop songs dressed with a country twang, but this feels so true to the genre.

The harmonies are gorgeous, and the way they move with the melody makes them feel older and almost showtunes-y.

I would love to hear this song with old, vintage mics, prominent guitars, a harmonica, and that grainy, almost crackling quality characteristic of music in the 1940-1960s.

I actually like this a lot, cause it's more in the style of Nikki, and not watered down ala Jack with BUS (album production, the live instrumentation is amazing)

I’d like to think that bc COCC took too long, she was wanting to give us the covers album but she ended up thinking of another album so she pushed to get blue banisters out as quick as she could (literally within months) before other artists sent in albums last year, like Adele and others who wanted vinyls out for their albums. Like maybe cocc was actually meant for 2020, so because of that big delay we had, she really worked to get blue banisters out in 2021 instead of the covers album, and she’s already working on another album now because she had yet again, another idea. I’m hoping that with her already jumping to a new album which we already know of, she’s just in the flow of writing more material. I think her being busy writing and making new original songs is better in the long run than a cover album, which isn’t to say that i don’t want the covers album, I do, but someday she might lose her muse completely and not want to write her own stuff anymore, so i just wanna ride out this wave of her being creative and actually writing her own stuff before she gets outworked and stops producing like we’re used to.

like i’d be happy if this album was shelved because she’s just busy with making another record and trying to finalize her book. We’re in the second peak of LDR, which some artists never get, and I’m happy to be in this era of “LDR can’t stop writing and dropping albums”. Idk how long it’ll last, I don’t know if this is the end of this second peak and once she drops the next album, she’ll take a break, who knows… but i wanna take advantage of all of the new material we’re getting before we stop getting new stuff.

I would choose album full of Prettiest Girl in Country Music-like songs over album full of Watercolor Eyes-like songs to be honest.

i kinda love how even if you're not enthusiastic about country (like me) we're still getting hyped for it because it's lana and what could go wrong tbh

I knew that when Lana said she wanted to do country, she didn't mean "yeehaw beer in my pick-up truck with my dog and some random blonde women" country, she meant classic country. Like Happiest Girl In The Whole U.S.A or End of The World, which are both songs she covered in the Lizzy days  I have a feeling that if this project is ever released, it'll turn out really well

Love the new song. Really fun writing. Such a Lizzy grant title.  She never stops and I'm so thankful. She's in her Your Band Is All The Rage and All Smiles bag

Seriously though the Nikki hate train will have to stop, I'm not the biggest country music fan except a few songs by select artists here and there, but I'm honestly excited for this potential album. They're so cute travelling the country together. Road dogs.

this just in (i heard from a vErY gOoD sOuRcE) that lAnA dEl rEy is going cOuNtRy & WeStErN full time. Watercolor eyes is her last lana song. From now on she will be one part of Nikki, May and The Tambourine Jamboree. They will be touring the south and west exclusively and only releasing compilation albums. Congrats to the ladies and can't wait to buy my ticket when they come to Melbourne
