14 people in here vibing/witnessing LMLYLAW slander yet again.  The lack of taste.

like I enjoy the sound of the song but I pretend I do not understand English when listening to anything other than the verses

I feel like the chorus and bridge are her most lifeless lyrics to date, they are so devoid of meaning and just there to sound fancy

LMLYLAW really deserved better production, a better chorus and better vocal delivery because some of the lyrics serve. 

I know im just so hungry for this album, like im grateful shes even putting content out during a pandemic almost immediately after her most critically acclaimed album! I just wish things were clearer about her projects, i could do without a theatrical release if it wasn't being dragged out so long. That being said: i feel like we set ourselves up a lot so lets hope its smooth sailing from now til the release ??

I still think NFR! Was the most painful personally. Just because the era started a whole year before the album came out and first it was supposed to come out early 2019 and didn’t until the end of it. However, the wait was greatly worth it. Even tho it’s an album that a lot of stans deem safe and stuff I still think it was really important for her to release it Bc a lot more ppl respected her after

I feel like now YOU are the one with the rose colored glasses. LFL was much worse than UV for example.
The huge time-gaps because of the leak, the major uncertainty about the release date and her infamous "fam"-post, the lack of a cohesive visual style, the singles being on the downside for many people, Coachella, Roses Bloom For You, her talking about US politics for the first time ...

Actually the least meltdown-inducing era was Lust for Life. The rollout was seamless and very well-planned (except for the moment nobody knew when the album was actually coming out). Everyone seemed to love the music, the looks, the photoshoots, etc. The only times I remember the era being controversial among stans were:
 
Tracklist reveal with the multiple featured artists ("I want Lana only!")
Album cover reveal ("Photoshopped, fake smile, etc.")
Adidas outfits.
 
Later on the era she served vocals, beauty, acclaim, success, relevancy, Grammy nomination and even had her haute couture moment at the Met Gala and other events.

Yup the Honeymoon meltdowns were so much worse than Chemtrails. I promise you lol

That's not true either. UV was actually the toughest time to be a Lana stan, up there with the NFR! pre-release.
 
Homegirl had the worst attitude 24/7, cancelling stuff left and right.
Interviews were disturbing/boring/chaotic/uncomfortable to read.
"May 1st" caused a lot of (unnecessary bc it came out one month later) meltdowns.
I'd dare to say 60% were in doubt/against the new sound.
I remember a lot of people hating Shades of Cool upon release.
Title track to, nobody liked it when it came out.
"I wish I was dead already" interview; lots of fans already "sick" of her calling her pretentious or whatever.
Ultraviolence music video... Hard time to be a stan.
Abandonment of the era.
Everyone started to complain about her lack of glamour, high fashion, no longer having a "beauty queen style", etc.

yup, so many people hated HM at the time and idk why everyone keeps forgetting about it
 
also, the meltdowns when she didnt release MTWBT in June cuz i believe she once said shes gonna release it or sumn

not to mention how many people absolutely despised that she was “going back to the BTD sound” after UV
 
UV had the best rollout with the fewest meltdowns as far as I remember, but no matter what she does people aren’t going to be 100% happy 
 
And everyone is saying the hype is dead but the second she posts a release date for White Dress all will be forgiven and we’ll be at peace again

LOL, not exactly directed to you, but why does everyone have some kind of Mandela effect on the Honeymoon era? Those few months were full of meltdowns.
 
First the title track, lots of people hated it.
Everyone was trashing her hair, outfits and body.
Then High by the Beach, 50% loved it, 50% were like "Omg she sold out! A trap song? Not on my watch!"
HBTB MV too, that caused a lot of heated discussion.
Then the incredibly meltdown-inducing artwork that nobody liked.
Music to Watch Boys To was the only moment we stood together.
And finally the album came out and many were in doubt, others were "unstanning" and others loved it.

so actually White Dress was postponed to become a single from Justin's upcoming album. Now it's "Justin Bieber - White Dress (feat. LDR)"

wait let's pretend we're scared of justin so lana's team decides to put out the album on the 12th 

well said. It sure affects her creative process and the control she gets over the next album. No way she could have pulled a Honeymoon if UV hadn't been  success. And because LFL was successful, she had all the creative liberty to pull NFR. That being said, though, I don't know they stand now with her. I wouldn't be surprised if she «had» to release a big single, not in the context of an album, just for her to have a success. Don't Call Me Angel is the only reason I don't hate the the song: it gave her some success while not compromising any album with a song out of context. 

As of today, what is the general consensus (if any) on the release of the White Dress music video+single since it wasn’t released today?
 
I feel like a March 12th release would make the most sense, but what do you all think? Any other potential date candidates?

the reason why i want to wait until March 19 to listen to white dress (though it's not like she's giving us much of a choice at the moment) is because i feel like it's going to be a strong track, that hits deep, almost shocking. and i think the album is meant to be discovered with that initial shock as an introduction

we're going to hear something NUANCED, it's going to be DETAILED, it's going to be UNIVERSAL... INTRICATE, COMPLICATED, SURREAL, AUTHENTIC, BEAUTIFUL! 
 
a white dress, the blonde trailer park waitress at ruby tuesday's, the ghost of lizzy's past, the wedding gown of lizzy's future, a cloudy sky in the autumn, where she'll write about the mysterious "k"... the gas station... the west coast... and her bartender, but she won't ask for white wine, she'll just ask for cherry cola instead...
