i love pre release idc if it’s experienced better together, something about getting singles and little bits of info can be so fun. plus i’ll experience it all together when it’s released

in my opinion yes this album was a bit rushed, but that's the whole point of it, she released it because she felt she NEEDED to and she already knew what she needed to say and wanted others to hear it and i'm not talking about lyrics/production at all, that's a completely different thing... and i get not liking BB, i'm not saying that's a bad opinion. i get preferring an "era" or bigger-budget album over something quicker and simpler. but it was made that way on purpose and the intention of it is very different from her other work

i'm scared there won't be any music videos at all for this era...

plus she’s posted so many photos of her grandmother and other family on honeymoon, like the one where she’s emulating lana turner, etc etc. i think she’s very interested in her family’s own past (on her dad’s side) and i think the song will be a beautiful and thoughtful exploration of nostalgic and karmic themes, maybe with some nods to her current family. i do think the title is a little off putting but i’m keeping an open mind <3 there are some great songs about family out there. not every song about family is sappy sweet and stupid. given how much she talks about karmic lineage i wouldn’t be surprised if there are darker moments as well

to me it sounds like a turntable needle being lifted off/put on a record, i love it as a transition between the tracks even if it ends up not flowing into sweet perfectly!!!!

okay i got really into this analysis so it's in a spoiler the only takeaway that i think is worth sharing outside of a spoiler is that "camarillo" might be referring to the camarillo state mental hospital, which "hotel california" has been rumored to be about. whether or not hotel california is about camarillo, i think it makes sense for lana to reference the two in the same verse!

if you hate honeymoon (if i remember correctly) and her last 3 albums and this one im not sure you’re going to find another lana album that you love since at this point you don’t like more than half of her albums😭 i want you to enjoy it though, hopefully there’s a track on the album that appeals to you!! maybe the tommy genesis one? i feel like it has to have a bolder sound, could that be up your alley? idk i haven’t read all of your thoughts in the thread

missed the last few hours on lanaboards but just as i expected you are all unanimously agreeing that this is an incredible song!! it looks like nobody is criticizing it or how exciting it is, just like we usually don’t criticize her work, i’m so glad we continue to always agree with each other and never make any negative comments about lana, her producers, or her music. this community really is so special because of how much we get along with each other and because our opinions are so similar❤️
