although i don't think it'll match up with the album aesthetic 100%, the W magazine shoot actually fits in with this nicely imo – revisiting old crumbling glamorous 1920s golden age structures, jewels and icy waves, mosaic tiles and neon signs, roller coasters and rocky outcrops on cold beaches mixed with the bright summer surf and springtime flowers, it's timeless, ageless, channeling the brightness of the 60s and the glittering coolness of the 20s and 30s, the beauty of broken things

also, if it's about the long beach CA tunnel under ocean blvd, it was built when the pike amusement park was in its prime and amusement parks are such an iconic lana lizzy grant thing, i'm so excited this was all basically destroyed when long beach started their ~glittering new developments~

i still firmly believe that it's about the tunnel under ocean blvd in long beach CA! that tunnel has been closed off to the public for years, so it makes so much sense to say "did you know there's a tunnel" since it's been hidden from the world, it was built in the late 20s, was a pathway to the beach so there were less pedestrian deaths, there were little shops set up in the tunnel, but it's been abandoned for years and the building it was initially connected to was demolished

i feel like someone definitely bought it but maybe they've just held onto it

i don't think lana's name has been on a single cover since love (???)... so i'm not sure

the only place the “witchy coven” description came from is dragonwhore and a long post eclipse made which to me sounded more like speculation and less like actual fact … so i have an open mind about the aesthetic i don’t think that it’s necessarily going to be witchy or honeymoon-esque, that font kind of reminds me of doin time and honestly that cover is iconic (not to mention hugely popular) so i wouldn’t complain at all about an album with bops similar to that. not to mention it fits the energy of the coconut 🌴 song and the dnc logo … maybe we were just misguided by the W shoot and random people’s speculative descriptions, i have no expectations for aesthetic anymore, i just know it’s going to be good!!

do we know if the logo is on the album cover or just part of her website? it could be cute as like a section header or something, as an album font it kind of has the same off-putting vibes as the nfr logo
