i want lana’s next album to go for the first dream album and i just got it from the album i i just a few days later and then i and then i went back into my new album and i got a new album and i got it and i didn’t even want it for her album and i was so sad that i got a new album of the album so she was just wondering what it would like for me and her for the song and then she got it for me to be too good lol

i like to think about how she's dressing & her hair and makeup when she's actually making the album – aka. usually what she looks like on tour. many outfits, especially the later ones, of the paradise tour really embody ultraviolence to me. the eye makeup also became the classic uv smoky eye. the outfits for the endless summer tour scream honeymoon glamour and class, especially with the long hair and big curls and soft, simpler makeup. the 2016 festival tour outfits remind me of lfl with the flowers and birds in her hair and loose sundresses and the moon belt etc etc. some of the lfl and post-lfl outfits remind me of the LA summertime thing nfr had going on. nfr tour outfits absolutely SCREAM chemtrails to me - folky, lacy dresses, some long, with cowboy booties and leather and midwestern aesthetics. 
 
since she hasn't toured in a while it's a bit hard to tell, but thinking about her outfits a few months ago, i remember them being sort of soft and warm and flowery (but also cleavage and fun outfits and more interesting choices outside of just jeans and a t-shirt) so that's what i'm thinking this album will be if she made it then. 
 
also because of album releases right after each other it's a little hard to tell when she even could've been making this album (or if she's STILL making it. which is what i think). but if anyone has any ideas then the clothes around that time might give some sort of idea

I thought about what Lana said about sending Drew her voice memos and having him chart music over it, and it reminded me of how Violet’s tracks are her voice memos too. The Land of 1000 Fires with its cinematic instrumental and low-fi vocal treatment really makes for an interesting sonic atmosphere, so I’d love for this record to be in the vein of Violet. It would be such an experimental, cinematic, avant garde, psychjazz masterpiece

Yeah chemtrails is really not her best work. I still forget it even exists. it feels like she just quickly threw a bunch of songs together because she had accidentally announced an album and needed to pull through... it lacks a concept 
i haven't been genuinly excited for a new album since nfr either 
i think we need an upbeat song from her as the lead single to jolt as back into the hype, or something artistic and weird similar to venice bitch at least
i love love love sad mopey music but i think what we need is just something that slaps

"New" 2000s Lana performance (Brooklyn African American History Project) vids lurking somewhere; it would be interesting to see if they pop up sometime this year... wouldn't want to bug those two, but I think its definitely something to keep an eye out for in the future

Dayglo: a brand name for a type of brightly-coloured paint that seems to shine especially brightly in ordinary light

 
 
The earth is but a dayglo reflection
 
Dayglo paint is famous for it's quality that it's reflection gives off of a very colorful and nice quality even in ordinary light. Therefore, the first line "the earth is but a dayglo reflection" refers to the idea that Earth, and Life on Earth is only a reflection of something much more wonderful that exists in the background. This is supported by Heaven being mentioned later on in the song.
 
A turn that will bring you only light
I'm forming to myself, but I'm not going
Waiting for the day to bring me light
 
This passage refers to time passing as in within a day, depending on tha angle from which the rays of sun hit an object, shadows change and so does the reflection, the quality of life that a person lives. The person singing the song (Bobby Womack) is awaiting better parts of life. He is forming, but not going yet, he is growing but the time did not come yet for him to really step out into the light.
 
If heaven thinks that everything is everything
 
The first line is very hard to grasp, Lana tries to tap into how the non-physical, Heaven thinks about life. Within many spiritual circles, it is an accepted concept that we are all one, we are all different expressions of the same wonderful being, and that is why everything really is everything. (And Lana did read books that make these kinds of statements)

Lana always wanted this feeling of unity, oneness and love, but it is not easy to get a hold of through human relationships. From earlier interviews we know she always felt she needed someone to be there to be secure, therefore If she could, she would just force the ideal  relationship, make it happen right here and now with someone, if only it was possible. (and she would love it so much every step of the way). This verse expresses the futile struggle of life as we trie to capture the harmony that is so pervasive in the afterlife, the state we all pine for while living on Earth (we're all just looking for connection, we all want to be seen - same idea there)
 
Watching from a distant constellation
 
The first obvious question is, what constellation? Since Lana is singing the song, it can only mean the star system we are in, where Lana is singing. Lana feels like the place in the universe she is at the time is far from all these ideals expressed in the song.
 
Eyes that can see the world in changing hues
 
The eyes that see clearly, are aware of these truths, see the bigger picture, understand and know what is coming, know what the changing hues, the changes of the world, but also what one's destiny in the afterlife will be like.
 
Visions still unfolding, sweet images
Time reveals that love's the only truth
 
While contemplating the concepts of heaven, spirituality, afterlife, we as people can't get a concrete sense of these things with physical senses, but there are people who claim to get visions, or premonitions about what the afterlife is like, and once we die we all return to the same form of energy, which is liquid love, it is true that once your time is down, and you die it will be revealed that love is all that there is, that really is the only truth.
 
It's been years  and years since I have been listening to this song,and pondering it's secret meaning, and this is the only sense I can make of it. This song is about the wonderful origin of the physical world, separated from our physical senses by a veil, we don't see it but we sense it, over time, with age and practice we can come closer to it, and return to it in death. This song talks about an idea of self-improvement in  Bobby Womack's verse and the sample, and focuses more on the longing towards this ideal place in the Lana penned-lines.

Earlier today, Lana followed Eliel Ford on Instagram. He appears to be friends with others in Lana’s circle (Annie T, Craig Stark, Hunter Barker, Stefan Morton, etc) as well as Christopher Ripley who worked on the Chemtrails video. Eliel is also a video director himself, having directed music videos for Travis Scott, Baby Keem, and ASAP Nast. While it’s possible Lana followed him because of their friend connections, perhaps he could be working on a Lana video in the future? x
