if this album is gonna be country, i want a psychedelic folk rock kind of country like what the grateful dead does. she already gave us that on the "dance till we die" bridge so i know she can give us that!

I can't wait for the new album. I discovered Zella through her beautiful work with Lana on Chemtrails. There's not many artists out there like Lana, where every track on every album is a masterpiece. I absolutely love Kicker. Every song is perfect. I'm Just wondering if anyone here has a spare vinyl copy that I can buy? Or point me in the direction of where I can buy it for a reasonable price. Would love to have this in my collection of vinyl masterpieces.

I would never skip 'For Free'. It's an incredible song IMO, in every every way possible. I feel very lucky that I can listen to Lana on a high-end system that's pretty much built for her music. It really sounds like a concert in my living room. Wish I could share a photo. I just wish people (the doubters) could experience 'For Free' on a system that reveals the full dynamic range of that song. I played FF to a friend who never listens to Lana and it made her tearful, she was overwhelmed with emotion. Anyway, sorry to interrupt a BB thread but not everyone dislikes that song. Maybe if everyone liked it, it wouldn't be that good

I’m going to assume that if people don’t like Lana’s version of For Free, they probably wouldn’t like the original by Joni. Which is sad, because it’s a gorgeous song. Different tastes I guess.  I found Lana’s version very moving as well (though Joni’s is the superior version). ?

I adore vinyls. It's so extremely satisfying and I'm gonna be unbearably presumptuous but as a designer to have objects that are works of arts by themselves. It's easy to screw up a CD design but with vinyl, with the format and the material itself and of course everything that's associated to it the analog quality the vintage feels etc, you automatically put a lot more work into it. I absolutely love the fact that you can colour them though. Just think of Father John Misty's designs... I started designing stuff with vinyl concepts and I'll forever be grateful for it

That being said! I own most of Lana's vinyls (my UV boxset is so precious to me that I categorically refuse to touch it without white gloves), I miss the Para boxset, the BTD pictures disks, the heart-shaped LFL single, and the blue BTD and that's all I think? I also own a few of other artists but I'm really just starting to build my collection, I have all of CocoRosie (including one of my most precious items, the Noah's Ark record signed by Bianca Casady - if you want an idea of what she means to me, I have her name tattooed on my right thigh) except Grey Oceans because I'm saving for the super expensive / rare electric blue pressing:

I have also a single from them, and a single from MØ, still saving up for her deluxe LP.

    My whishlist for now is:
_ always the Lana stuff on the list especially Para boxset
_ Caro Emerald because her sound is MADE for vinyl
    _ 1989, don't judge me
    _ Two Feet
    _ Blue Neighbourhood
    _ Dangerous Woman
_ Booba (a french gangsta rapper bc the contrast is dope)
_ Nekfeu (a french hip hop artist that loves analog)
    _ complete Nina Simone works
    _ complete Barbara works
    _ complete Muse works
_ I don't remember if I have the CD or the LP, because I do have Electra Heart LP and TFJ CD, but definitely TFJ
_ as I mentioned Grey Oceans
_ I would love to own anything designed by my favourite designer ever, David Rudnick

One of my biggest ambitions is I would really love for the 5th year anniversary of Ultraviolence to get myself a custom pressing of it that I would have designed myself. Like an unique piece that I could personally relate to. I'm ready to drop 200 on that. I want it so bad. I also REFUSE to get the bootleg AKA I think it's sorta stupid if it's upscaled and not official, but I'm definitely getting my own design (retouched cuz it mostly sucks lol) that I made for it pressed one day, just to prove myself I made it

I came back here to praise this album again:

So I’ve been playing Cocc every day for hours while I’ve been in quarantine. I love this album so much with all my heart. It’s my favourite album of all time. (I said what I said). I adore the production by Jack and oh my god Lana’s vocals - she has never sounded this good! The songs are excellent lyrically. Also I love Zella & Weyes and them singing on this album is really overwhelming because I didn’t know that they are friends with Lana. The only song I removed from the playlist that I’m listening is LMLYLAW because I’m not vibing it at all, I really have tried a lot to like it but no, the song doesn’t work. I feel like the album is better without it.
The best song is Dark but just a Game. It’s possibly my favourite song from Lana as well. All the rest of the songs are 10/10 as well, although some took a bit of time to really understand.
But seriously... Wow. She really created something magical with this album. I love Lana Del Rey even more now.

How are you listening to it—what system are you using? And what format—MP3, CD, vinyl, 16 bit FLAC file? To my ears, the production (in full resolution) is absolutely incredible. I am absolutely loving the vinyl and the high-res digital version. Both sound amazing in different ways. Every single track fascinates me. I've invested quite a lot of money in my hi-fi system over the years. Mainly to get as close as possible to the artists (and producers) true vision.

Worth mentioning again that Weyes Blood sounds eerily like Joni Mitchell at the end of For Free. I think Lana is making a very conscious choice to sonically give the album back to the community of women that COTCC is dedicated to.

I think this album says what Lana wanted to say perfectly.

There's no feeling of artistic compromise like I felt with NFR, just an artist reflecting.
It's suchhhhh a breath of fresh air imo
