Cherry Blossom definitely, there’s too many other truly stunning unreleased tracks that could have had its spot. Feels like a rough demo to me.

remove that cheap sounding beat from HTD and the pirate strings and it’s one of her best songs, that’s really the only song I feel Jack completely flubbed.

Arcadia is absolutely gorgeous, I’m fine with her piano ballads when they sound like this. Clear horns, strings and arrangements. Very impressive lyrics too.

i will admit EM was the one great song off that album, but as for Melanie i just feel like k-12 sounded like crybaby demo rejects, wish she would’ve changed her shtick as much as i would love lana to have a more expansive production i am afraid she is forever addicted to bare piano ballads

if we’re talking about their early music yes but neither have made decent content in several years she would have to leave out put me in a movie (even tho it’s my fave) i don’t even want to imagine the backlash

Absolutely adore the album cover but the video for the single looks meh, I prefer her in vintage snapshots like the COCC video than moving around some random house in her normal clothes but oh well, the music itself is good.

In all honesty I think Thunder could fit just fine, it’s kinda sorta like Text Book in its vibe. Plus she’s put Cherry and Tomorrow Never Came on the same album.

I’m just praying Text Book is the only song even alluding to something political. I’m not exactly saying she isn’t allowed to voice her political opinions but it’s rarely tasteful or articulate when she does.

100% I really love BB & WW but I just wish they had more to them instrumentation wise. Especially WW I feel like it deserved some eerie synths or something. I mean she can make the music she wants to make but I miss the Honeymoon production where it was still minimal and sparse but with hints of lush backdrops.

I deleted twitter for the reason that ppl take it as their full time job to misinterpret and misconstrue basically every singer’s lyrics as a way to feel important. These ppl aren’t happy in their real life so I show them some compassion but either way twitter isn’t the real world - just other fanbases spewing negativity as usual. They’d pick apart literally anything she says for some engagement.

But I have to say living in Oklahoma is pretty cool now that I’ve had two albums mention my state, especially considering I never thought she’d come here let alone have experiences worth writing great music about

I like Blue Banisters but will need time with all 3 songs cause I can’t really understand what she’s saying at all. Imo Text Book was…. a choice idk the instrumentation didn’t flow well to my ears but maybe I need a few more listens. I just can’t understand her words.

that whole pc music hyper pop whatever thing (charli xcx, sophie type music) i don’t think making a bunch of annoying sounds, plug-ins, crashes and noise is as “artistic genius” as some put it. like just because you make a lot of noise doesn’t mean it’s the future of music, but maybe it’s just not my thing? their songs don’t seem to have a whole lot going for them in melodic structure
