Some of my favourite Lana songs are reworked from scrapped melodies. I only have a problem with this because it's happened so much on this album. Potentially 6/11 songs on COCC are covers or recycled in some way which makes it feel like she's not really growing and changing as an artist. It kind of makes me hopeful for RCS though because she might have had more time during covid and post-qftc to think up something new.

I was listening to an insta live in the studio from before NFR and she sung a bit of the demo after singing the song. This might be common knowledge but I just realised that the bridge of Bird World (NFR demo) sounds the exact same as the begining of DBJAG's chorus: You keep changing all the time You're changing your goddamn mind You know you like to shine But I don't have a clue It's at 8:20 It makes me really want another producer on RCS because there's just so many outtakes on COCC...

Oh my god Lana needs to give us updates because this has just devolved into discussing year old drama. In other news, I got bored and initiated a lucid dream last night to ask about the album. I don't really believe in the zodiac/witchy/dream stuff but I was desperate so I manifested Lana and asked her a bunch of questions about the release date, production and themes. She just said "I'm going to explore my femininity" and then disappeared in a puff of smoke. I'm still annoyed.

French speakers? My French isn't great but I managed to skim over it. It doesn't sound like there's anything new but it mentions her announcing RCS.

1 week until nothing happens...

That doesn't really affect the countdown though because of the 20 day situation. Normally I wouldn't trust it for a different album but it's only 2.5 months later so I doubt she'd change the schedule. I think the first WD teaser was supposed to be the only one but she then had to post a clip because of the delay. If that's true, it makes an April 30th single more likely because the BB teaser has the same format as the first teaser. I feel like I've posted about this so much because I hope it's true so bad.

So I had a surgery today and in the hospital I saw a person that looked exactly like Jack Antanoff with glasses. Girls and gays it's a sign that Jack won't be producing the album because he decided to leave the US to become a hospital janitor.

Idk she did a Gucci campaign before NFR and that wasn't exactly her most glam era...

Lmao RCS is actually the sequel to Tomb Raider confirmed, with Lana playing the lead role of Lana Croft. They wanted to release it the same day as COCC but they knew it would be too powerful

Please can we make a collective effort not to respond to a certain troll on here. I find it funny that they think they're an intellectual who alone can understand the artistry and complexity of his production. Everyone who disagrees has objectively 'bad taste'. I enjoy Jack's work with her but oh my god the lack of self awareness. I'll take 'terrible drum loops' and 'shitty, melodramatic strings and synths' any day over Lana quietly whispering into a microphone while Jack plays the same three chords somewhere in the background on the world's tiniest piano. No matter how many times you defend him, he's still not going to fuck you.

Clearer doesn't necessarily mean better imo. I think the mic choice on Honeymoon suited the mood of the album and made it more cohesive.

17 days until team delulu wins

As far as I'm concerned, this is the reason for the repetition on COCC and other albums. It's Lana singing to the same old chord progressions rather than the producer making her ideas into a reality.

I think we'll have Blue Banisters and a pre-order at the end of this month on April 30th because of the 20 day teaser situation. I'm also expecting another single on May 21st for two reasons. First, it's the first Friday that's at least a week before the Tuesday release. Second, it's the one year anniversary of QFTC. She said she would challenge accusations in the album so it would be iconic to release a response a year later.

Adding to my earlier post, April 30th is a Friday which makes it even more likely. I don't want to get my hopes up but there's a high chance we'll have a new single in 19 days.
