Now I finally understand why she publishes poetry books. She has too many ideas that she can't put them all into songs. Maybe many of the poems in "Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass" were meant to be songs, like LA Who Am I (to Love You) That's why we have also so many unreleased songs. And now again, a lot of great scrapped songs that we don't know yet. She's so super creative!

If there’s one thing Lana stans have, it’s an imagination 

i’m so curious what happened to ‘rock candy sweet’ , it’s such a genius album title……. but also much to live up to, like it clearly has to be a genius song/title track lyrically & musically 

the way lana’s art is so good that even a couple months without new chapters of it feel like little eternities 

Beautiful contains the most satisfying verse to sing along to on the album:

The way that line descends and just LANDS. The first time I got it right I was stoked! Also it's the mission statement of the whole album hello. 

the only thing i like except for the twinkling piano ofc is THAT line that she sais "don't turn me into something i'm not, there's no way to sustain it". feels like a satisfying slap in the face

Sweet Carolina, Thunder, Violets for Roses, and Beautiful have emerged as my current favorites, especially the former 2. I think Sweet Carolina will become one of those classic Lana songs tribute artists will cover within the next 30-40 years.

I don't mean their original music, it was really good and I like it. I mean the  success with their "comeback" now in the charts. People buy it just because it's ABBA, the same music with a noname band and nobody would notice.
