I was thinking of stalking my exe's social media before i stream the album for the first time, that'll honestly open up a whole can of worms i've been suppressing for a year now and it'll make me so emotional and sad, and maybe even a little bit mad if i find out he's dating someone new, that combined with vodka and marijuana... oh im ready to play with FIRE

I feel like it’s been written like 10000 times since NFR and it’s truly like the most surface level cookie cutter interpretation someone can make of her music  
 
but acclaim is acclaim! 

"Eulogy for the American Dream." Tired of this cliché written about Lana's music post Norman.  

I love Lana’s change in vocal tone as she repeats, “I’m just like this.” It’s a simple detail, but I think that shift to an almost annoyed/spiteful inflection at the end really helped deliver the repetition in a meaningful way. 
 
There’s so much subtle anger, sarcasm, humor, celebration, etc. in A&W that gets highlighted just by a slight turn of her voice without the need for vocal acrobatics, so to speak. Love that for us

Given that both insiders told us that the second half of the album is stronger than the first one and yet we’ve already been gagged by tracks 2 and 4, I think that we’re going to get a truly great record.
 
So many tracks have been highlighted by them: The Grants (full and gorgeous), Candy Necklace (massive), Kintsugi (best song of all-time according to our favourite insider), Fingertips (stunner), Paris, Texas (delicate highlight), Grandfather (BOZ’s favourite), Let The Light In (singled out by both insiders), Fishtail (the potential fan favourite of the album), Peppers (a slutty vibey bop apparently), Taco Truck (an outro for the books). Even Sweet is praised for its beautiful strings, Kintsugi thinks that Margaret is actually great, and BOZ adores the instrumentation on both interludes. 
 
This album is shaping up to be one of the most important works in Lana’s career.
