It isn’t. The STINT version and James Ford version both built on top of the Rick Nowels version although STINT added a different guitar I think. Still, this is the base version that she kept going back to. The one she considered including on UV, HM and later BB.

They don’t sound like newly recorded vocals imo. I think this is just the final Rick Nowels version/mix from the UV session. Maybe with a newer vocal take they did back then.
 
Edit: Yup definitely the same vocals from all the other versions. Just mixed differently. But yeah this has to be the unleaked OG Rick Nowels version that was done for UV (later considered for inclusion on BB).

Somehow it really hits seeing it officialy released on streaming,  after almost ten years of in & out & back again into the trash can , SYTH finally made it 
Just listened to it in the car and it sounded really good,  I could even hear the details 
 
I mean it's kinda sad she stripped down the drums & I was attached to them but after a few listens I got used to it & this version is still beautiful & dreamy , it's giving summer breeze vibes somehow,  definetly can see myself listening to it on a chill,  relaxing summer evening outside in the garden.
I think they added a bit of a new guitar riff at parts,  which I love,  the xylophone , the caracas,   the bit of strings,  it's pretty & there is still some sort of bass/beat / drum or whatever you call it 

You can just buy the mp3 in this case and listen to the original version as much as you want 😁😉 the mp3 brings more chart success/money anyway. 
 
(Btw, I suppose that the auto detection on YouTube recognizes the song anyway, so streaming the earlier versions there probably has the same effect? Don't know how this works.)
 
I like the new version, glad we got another one, so we have something additionally to what we got. I think they tried to make it sound more "religious".

I can actually hear drums in the bassline (it's like a heartbeat) and I don't really miss a bridge if there was any

nobody is making it serious, it's just a bit upsetting that she stripped it down before releasing it

believe it or not, a lot of thought goes into each release n they obviously reproduced it and took out the bridge n drums for a reason. she consciously chose to not keep those elements in the song. people can be frustrated with that. 

it's not that serious, it's just a song. 

i think its just the initial frustration of an artist like lana who has an insane catalog of amazing songs n then always seems to release the lesser versions of them. i havent heard the released version yet (waiting till tomorrow) but knowing she removed the bridge n drums is just like ??? she never does what anyone would *want* her to do but thats why we love her

you guys act like this is the only version we have... if you care so much about the drums or the instrumental bridge, you can listen to any other version.
