From what you've said, it seems like its moreso he needs to learn how to respect you and your interests. Like he doesn't understand lana, well then so be it, but hes gotta understand that you love lana. And theres no ifs and buts about it! basic fundamentals of a relationship 101 tbh

i really wish she would work with some brand new producers for the next album, maybe people who actually produce alternative music instead of pop music. that’d be a dream to hear her inventing some totally new specific sound in her discography, and something tells me that it might be possible if she feels more ambitious about the instrumental side of music instead of lyrical mostly. and look, she performed flipside last night, that song has very different instrumentation from her current sound and flipside isn’t even that popular, if she chose to perform it she has to like it very much

pleaseeee when are you going to realise she doesn’t give a fuck about charts she literally released an entire album that she “didn’t want anyone to listen to”

'VFR' is one of my all-time favorite LDR songs, along with 'Ride,' 'Old Money,' 'Yosemite,' and 'If You Lie Down With Me.' I never, ever tire of it. As you said, it's beautiful and the COVID lyrics make it of its time. And the melody is simple but subtle and magical. Full agree about the "aaah aah haas" which drive the song home and are actually its climax. Enjoy it.
BB remains my most-played LDR album.

This album is truly the sister to Ocean Blvd and I looove thinking about their bond Blue Banisters is diurnal, campy and botanical, and I think of it like a scrapbook, like a collage of moments and eras. Ocean Blvd is nocturnal, existential, unpredictable, and more like a long string of thoughts, shifting moods and metaphors. The imagery of her awake in bed in the dark is very evocative of this concept. BB is a restless day, OB is a sleepless night. I love these 2 albums oh my God!!!

this album should have been released in the springtime. literally every song on here has such spring vibes (except maybe dealer). it just feels like renewal and fresh air. every time i relisten to this album i feel like it means something new to me. blue banisters title track is just so special and both feels so devastating and heartwarming. i just wish everyone would stop hating so hard on it especially on songs like arcadia. the hate for that one is so forced to me.

I hate you Grimes.
You are sitting on so many cool songs and you decide not to release them because you got bored of them.
She is not even serious about her music career anymore.

why are they releasing this skip where she doesn't sing half of the song and it's some ambient shit? hollywood bowl is a much better song so if you are like meh about this one i would still hold out!

i think now it’s pretty obvious that blue banisters was rushed and all its flaws were intentional, that also makes sense with her saying saying that the next album is better than the last one around time she went for the variety awards, like it was obvious for her since the beginning.. but i just find it a bit weird that she thought it would be a great idea to release an album in such as way, and i think it’s a bit sad because blue banisters has so many songs that are my personal favourites from her whole discography, and just imagine if those songs would find their way on more cohesive records or were at least reworked properly.. for example thunder, it’s one of my favourite lana songs ever, but the album version sounds muffled and produced very unprofessionally… from my perspective as a fan, it’s just such a lost potential for big amount of great material, i can perceive that album as a compilation if even lana herself does, but i think many of blue banisters songs deserved more than just be on the compilation. however, if lana needed blue banisters as a storyteller and almost like a poetry album in her discography, then i guess it’s good for her that she could release it
