  1. The way genuine questions have to be prefaced by pleas for mercy. And that's on Gen Z running this place.
  2. Oh, sorry. Lol. It was a common practice when I was here. And considering that I contributed information following that, I don't see how it's a problem?
  3. Bump. In recent news, Denmark, with high levels of vaccination, is acknowledging that natural infection alongside vaccination is vital to quelling the Sars-Cov-2 pandemic once and for all. Not surprising in the slightest. When will we acknowledge risk stratification of disease and say, "it's okay to be sick" in the Western world?
  4. War, for the purpose of its conquest, as brutal and as inhumane as it is, is a reality of the world. Ethnic cleansing is another story.
  5. I'm not entirely in favor of nations involving themselves in foreign conflicts. U.S. intervention may only escalate the situation. As far as China goes, say what you will about Putin, but he isn't a genocidal maniac like Xi Ping. And similar sanctions should have been placed on China ages ago. But of course that ain't happening.
  6. I suppose, but I don't personally see Putin as a tyrannical leader whose aim is world domination. I see him as a sad man trying to reassemble the vestiges of a lost Empire. Passivity may risk further expansion into those former territories, but I don't think it'll set a precedent at large.
  7. I'm not condoning this. I'm explaining the rationale and precedence here. I believe Ukraine deserves sovereignty. I also understand that its territories have been indistinguishably linked to Russia for over 400 years. I think Zelenskyy should put aside his pride, understand he is dealing with a dictator, and cease any aim for buddyship with U.S. through NATO if it means protecting his people.
  8. What are you trying to prove? I understand that conflict in Crimea has been long standing, and of course the situation in Bosnia Herzegovina is relatively recent. Nonetheless, the era of great conquests and acquisitions of land by Empires throughout Europe has been at standstill for some time. Ukranians -- until now -- have been living normal lives. I hope that whatever happens, the situation resolves itself as soon as possible, and with as little bloodshed as possible.
  9. Almost every human society and civilization in the history of the world has resulted from some form colonialism. We're lucky to be living in a time where war in Europe seems like a complete absurdity. Prolonged peacetime in Europe is a recent phenomenon.
  10. Thanks. Like, it's a joke. Obviously I'm not condoning the harm of innocent civilians, it's just that Putin's proprietorial nature toward Ukraine is rooted in history that precedes even the formation of the Soviet Union. It's a really complex situation.
  11. I have DID (dissociative identity disorder), please don't attack me for the beliefs of one of my alters.
  12. Yaaas. The USSR is making a return. I'm here for it. mod note: user has been banned for this post and further posts in this thread
