Most underrated moments on Lana's albums?
Unidentified Major Tom replied to barttttender's topic in Lana Thoughts
When she starts yelling, like in Dealer, in the bridge of Living Legend, in the end of Pink Champagne, in Heroin (it's fucking hot hot...), or maybe in certain inflections of her voice in Fingertips (I couldn't handle it, gave myself two seconds to cry, it's a tragedy...). I always saw it as an expression of her despair, her true self. And systematically, immediately after, she calms down, going back to being a serene queen. That's beautiful.- 46 replies

I love Joan Baez so much and I love their friendship. I used to sing donna donna to my daughter to put her to sleep when she was a baby.

Love this album. It's my favorite since "The age of Adz". My favorite songs are Goodbye Evergreen and My red little fox. I love the richness of his sound.

movies that changed your life?
Unidentified Major Tom replied to bambi eyes's topic in Movies & Television
It is about circumstances. After watching this movie, I wondered if the love I have for my girlfriend was due to the circumstances of how we met, or if we would have loved each other no matter how. It took this movie for me to believe in the latter. -

This movie is about forgetting, regrets, bitterness and fate. It made me aware for the first time, as a teenager, of the complexity and fragility of romantic relationships. The characters are very endearing. -

I don't usually celebrate album birthdays, like all other things, because I consider birthdays to be for people, in order to remind them that life is a precious gift and that we must celebrate every moment of it. That said, that doesn't stop me from telling all the good things I think about this album. I didn't really liked it at first listen, but it has since grown so much on me. No smashing hits here, it's more bluesy and jazzy. It's a slow album which tells a journey through Lana's tormented emotional life, the story of a young woman who tried everything to keep her love alive but finished on her own again. The first track sets the pace. It's bittersweet. My favorite songs are Honeymoon, Terrence Loves You, High by the beach, Freak, Salvatore (this one is special for me I don't know why) and The Blackest Day. After all these beautiful songs, the closing track "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" is the perfect cover to conclude this wonderful album. Lana's masterpiece.

Not quite important, but in a recent interview for Rolling Stone France L'Hebdo n°128, Jonathan Wilson briefly mentioned Lana, stating her as one of his close friends : Me trying to translate it in English : RS : "However, with your musician friends (Weyes Blood, FJM, Lana Del Rey), you share a similar conception of music: accessible but without compromise." JW : "Yes, and that's a blessing ! We see each other often, we share our emotions linked to our profession. We advise each other subtly, without intrusion. Together we have the feeling of holding the flame of a certain artistic vision. Having friends you can be proud of means everything in life, right ? They are there, a few steps from my house, this studio where so many songs flow. But, unlike Lana, who I am close to, at the local grocery store, no one notices my presence. Because I remain an outsider. To have this role of musical catalyst, and to be able to have peace of mind in my grocery store, what more could you ask for ?" Personnaly, I'm glad to hear they're still friends. I would appreciate another collab.
