The problem is the production, Piano just changes the song a bit and vibe. The original guitars and instruments were just gold.   It’s still good, but the original can’t really be touched, John Denver is always going to be superior. I fear Lana won’t be stopped until she’s turned every classic into a Piano lullaby.

Just not getting this random release. I love SYTH, but not in this context. It seems underwhelming coming off of Candy Necklace's MV & Ocean Blvd's release. No announcement by Lana or her team, no hype, no nothing. I'm not a TikToker, but assuming this got released because of a TikTok trend; then to find out it's not even the version that is trending on the platform just seems off-base and a complete miss.

Maybe if Lana had announced a B-Sides album release for later this year and dropped this as the first single, then this would have made more sense to me. Guess I'm glad to be able to finally stream SYTH now via Spotify. Just don't know how often I will be. And that sped up version... seriously If they were wanting a faster version, I'd rather of had a DnB remix or something different than just a sped up version. That's a ridiculous trend that I just don't get tbh.

Once again: She didn’t tweak shit. This version is the one that was once prepared for an official release. We know the Rick Nowels OG version was mixed and mastered to be released on UV as bonus track. 
 
James Ford's version was only ever a demo. They did to see how it could sound with a few tweaks.
 
 
I know I keep repeating myself but this is not a "new" version.
I do agree however that James' version should have been released but then again…she can't just release it if he isn’t on board and she most definitely cannot send it to be mixed and mastered if she doesn’t have access to his session files/stems. The only other option would have been to use a YouTube rip and I don’t think she was gonna clown us like that again.
 
This was probably the version that was the most easily accessible and also ready to be mixed in Dolby Atmos.
I wanna know whatever the fuck Prom Song (Gone Wrong) was gonna blend into. The song cuts off so strangely at the end. No one can convince there was nothing meant to follow.

finally got around to listening to it, this version is okay, i feel like the james ford version would've been better since it was the most well-known version and it's the best version, the lack of drums just feels weird for this song, but i do like the new guitars, i'm happy that say yes to heaven finally found a "home" and i'm sure lana is as well
