I found this analysis on Genius.com in the comment section. It sheds a lot of light on who Terrence might be potentially?

"Terrence may be Terry Burns, Bowie’s step brother who committed suicide and suffered from mental illness. Bowie written many songs about his brother such as ‘Jump they say’ as well as introducing him to jazz. Hence, the lyrics ‘I’ve still got jazz when I’ve got those blues’. The line ‘I still get trashed baby when I hear your tunes’ could also relate to Bowie listening back on the songs he written about his step-brother. The song in all may be a tribute to Bowie and his brother, as well as being vague enough to capture grief and lament whilst still enjoying and holding on to memories, creating a song that can be universally understood and related to.".

But yeah, this is easilyyy the best song we've gotten from Honeymoon so far and it actually reignited my interest in the album. Not to mention that this is probably her most well written song since Old Money, at least to me.

Flipside - delusion almost, her lover leaves and she thinks he's gonna gravitate back to her as per usual
The Blackest Day - she begins lamenting over the loss of her lover, consciously realizing he's gone
Hawaiian Tropic - acceptance, she's much more free given that her lover has left her and all of the bars from her relationship have been lifted

wasn't too keen on the guitar-laden clockwork of her debut but I grew to love Noonia!

at this point I literally prefer listening to Guns & Roses over Cruel World or Black Beauty (and those aren't even my personal lowlights for UV lol)

But Born To Die's production is clearly so much more refined than Honeymoon's? God Knows I Tried's production (don't let me be misunderstood.mp3, it's my 4th favorite song on the album lol) for example is so amateur and flat; she literally threw on 500 cascading layers of reverb on the bridge for no apparent reason? The same applies to songs like Music to Watch Boys to (also one of my faves don't get me wrong lmao) and Swan Song. High by the Beach is a whole different story but its production is so dry and demo-ish that it's honestly ... yeah

With Born To Die, even though it's glossy and processed to the extremes at times, the production on its own is still incredibly polished and you know there was a lot of time spent on embellishing it.
