Now that the album has been released, it's interesting to look back on my old prediction.

I like all the songs! Although I'm indifferent towards the interludes :um3: But I just had to rank them based on listening vibes:

  2. But daddy, I miss them
    I'm at the Roadrunner Cafe
Probably running away from the feelings today
In the snow-capped mountains of the desert
    Daddy, I miss them
    I'm in the mountains
Probably running away, I've been meaning to say
That there's nothing to do except know that this is

    How the light gets in

I think Living Legend by LDR grew on me after being announced on the BB track list, but I was never a big fan of that song when it leaked.

What song makes you feel alive?

Love the idea behind this thread. My aptly titled song in question:

Very nostalgic, it reminds me of a time when I was younger and excited for what was to come for my future

This song makes me wanna jump around and yell the chorus until I'm out of breath. The vocal part at 2:00 - 2:05 always made me ascend :air2:

What song do you just absolutely cry your heart out to when you're sad?

  4. Commenting on this barely alive thread just to say that the transition from Night Time, My Time to Downhill Lullaby is immaculate. Thank you and good night :true:

Ocean Blvd - Don’t Forget Me

    Sweet - Sweet In Barefeet

    A&W - American Whore

Kintsugi - How The Light Gets In

    Fingertips - Two Seconds

Paris, Texas - It's Time To Go

    Grandfather - Three White Butterflies

    Peppers - Angelina Jolie

Taco Truck x VB - Sounding Off (Bang Bang Kiss Kiss)

  6. My top 10 streamed Lana songs according to Last.fm. For reference I started scrobbling at the start of 2020 (whereas I started using Spotify in early 2018) so the distribution is slightly skewed:

    1. Without You (71)
    2. Dealer (64)
    3. Summertime Sadness (63)
    4. Happiness is a butterfly (50)
    5. Blue Banisters (49)
    6. Beautiful People Beautiful Problems (48)
    7. Art Deco (47)
    8. Living Legend (46)
    9. Nectar Of The Gods (45)
    10. A&W (44)

  7. Gonna include some Lana and Taylor lyrical parallels

    Tomorrow Never Came

    I waited for you
In the spot you said to wait
In the city, on the park bench
In the middle of the pouring rain

    Coney Island

And I'm sitting on a bench in Coney Island
Wondering where did my baby go?
The fast times, the bright lights, the merry go
Sorry for not making you my
    centerfold

    California

I shouldn't have done it, but I read it in your letter
You said to a friend that you wish you were doing better
I wanted to reach out, but I never said a thing

    Closure

    Yes, I got your letter

    Yes, I'm doing better

It cut deep to know ya, right to the bone

    --

    Happiness is a butterfly

    I said, "Don't be a jerk, don't call me a taxi"
Sitting in your sweatshirt, crying in the backseat

    Illicit Affairs

    And you wanna scream
    Don't call me "kid"
    Don't call me "baby"
Look at this godforsaken mess that you made me

    Groupie Love

You're in the bar, playing guitar
I'm trying not to let the crowd next to me
It's so hard sometimes with a star
When you have to share him with everybody

    Superstar

You played in bars, you play guitar
I'm invisible and everyone knows who you are
And you'll never see, you sing me to sleep
    Every night from the radio
