this was the first election i was old enough to vote too. i'll never forget i took a government class in high school the year leading up to his election. My teacher would always say not to worry because there was no way the republican party would support him or anyone would take him seriously. I remember directly asking him towards the end of the year if trump could end up winning and he literally promised it would never happen. it's crazy how things change, the republican party has done a complete shift since 2016

i hope i dont come across disrespectful to anyone on topics i don't necessarily agree with. i'm never trying to hate anyone, discussing different opinions doesn't have to be a bad thing. I think it can be healthy and productive to respectfully disagree if you have good intentions and are considerate. anyways love u lipsters peace and love

(I’m not coming for you specifically more the internet in general)- but there’s a big difference between pedos/serial killers committing heinous crimes for years vs a pop star’s friend posting weird and offensive content I don’t agree with those pics whatsoever, they’re gross but they are not on the same level. I also don’t agree with how people online put people posting offensive things on the same level as people who are awful criminals. People are allowed to criticize, but canceling someone for dumb posts someone else posted isn’t it

i want nintendo to bring back the gameboy games like fire red and emerald for the switch they were so good those and the DS games are some of my all time favs. the ones for switch don't really hit the same but arceus is pretty good ngl. i never bought violet or scarlet though, kinda thinking about it but also the newer games don't really interest me the same way. also i find the newer games are a lot easier and go by way faster which sucks

this whole situation unfortunately hasn't surprised me i feel like people from other countries here have been a lot more shocked, but if you look at recent events with the rise of gun violence, and antics of trump supporters (jan 6 for example) this is really not that surprising and i hate to say that. i think that's also why a lot of people online have been making jokes. people here have become so desensitized to these things it doesn't even shock us at this point and it's sad. if anything we've gotten to the point where i kinda expected something like this to happen rather than not happen, and i don't wish harm on anyone but at the rate our country is going, it's really not that far fetched. it shouldn't be this way and this behavior shouldn't be normalized but just really sad our country has turned out this way

im tempted to buy this game sometimes i get bored of mario games if anyone has suggestions for other games to get lmk. i love a lot of cozy games like animal crossing, stardew valley, and big fan of all the pokemon games. i already have minecraft, faefarm, cult of the lamb and zelda breath of the wild so none of those. im looking for something that can be played almost endlessly kinda like animal crossing or stardew or just played for a really long time

i really wanted katy to have a successful comeback because she was one of my fav pop girlies in the early 2010s . but the way shes been doing all this just doesnt sit right with me for multiple reasons. her comeback single being women's world is so hypocritical in so many reasons & i dont even have to mention the kesha situation. the music video opening up with her sexualizing rosie the riveter and her background dancers who are also skinny dressing skimpy doesn't seem like the best way to empower women by appealing to the male gaze lol. Katy and the women look hot i dont want to come off like im hating them but i just think so many other artists have portrayed shared women experiences much more accurately lately. some of these are a little different topics but example: skinny by billie ellish, and girl so confusing by charli and lorde. katy seems stuck in 2012 tbh, obviously women should be empowered by what they wear, but being a woman is more than just dressing in revealing outfits and chanting feminism. it just feels very dated and surface level, like we've moved past this. she looks amazing and i dont want to hate her but this was not done well.
