I feel like the issue with singer-songwriters doing poetry books is that they sometimes forget how much the music can mask some of the faultiness that their actual lyrics have. Without the music behind it, the words need to stand by themselves on their own. I feel like Marina's gonna encounter the same problem based on what I've seen so far.
 
In all fairness though, showing your poetry to the world is quite emotionally taxing. Poems tend to be the most exposing type of written media imo, so for her to expose nearly 300 poems of hers to the general public is kinda commendable in a way.

The only thing with Marina is that I have always gotten the impression that she thinks she's better at things than she really is and/or that she thinks things will blow up and then they don't
And so then she seems really disappointed or even shows signs of depression when things aren't well-received
She seemed really bothered by the lacklustre reception to L + F 
She has to realise that the creative industry is a crowded, often nepotised/biased space and sometimes mediocre work gets rewarded whilst good work does not
And that the purpose of art is the joy and personal journey you experience from creating it and fuck what people think
So as long as she realises all of this

The problem with her poems is the structure. They look like those poems that people write in a way thinking it’s soooo aesthetic and edgy, but in reality they’re trying to seem like something they’re not and it’s sad bc her first poem wasn’t bad, and I actually liked it, but structurally it was a mess and hard to read.

I lowkey fear she sometimes uses EP and album terms as synonyms  iirc even Kerli herself has referred to Shadow Works as her third album, as Utopia was her second but it was an EP... unless she's referring to the full album that was shortened into an EP. idk.
But yeah somehow I don't think there was an album where 21st Century Kids belonged to. Its release was so slow idk, and for Alchemise she immediately announced its parent EP, so it's more likely OVERSOUL has been in the making and then she decided to give Joy a chance with 21CK - though I suspect fan reaction contributed to its suspension.
