I absolutely adore it and the whole vibe but I'm an absolute pu$$y and I can't watch scary things and I didn't had the strength to finish season 2 I was depressed last spring and bingewatched it all in a week, sweet memories. Btw Floating Into The Night is actually one of my favourite albums of all time but this is definitely my favourite musical piece from the show:

Minor General Questions that Don't Deserve Their Own Thread
annedauphine replied to Monicker's topic in Lana Thoughts
I had the same and fixed it! You take every Lana song and rename the artist and album artist as Lana Del Rey X (or something else, just add something behind) and then rename it all to Lana Del Rey and it should work -
Urgh I'm feeling so motivated to update but I really don't know what's left for me to do on the 2014 ones... I think I found a couple interviews that aren't there though, White Hydrangea does such an impressive job

Is there any Lana song that give you certain feeling?
annedauphine replied to hellcolouredsky's topic in Lana Thoughts
You're Gonna Love Me is my favourite song because it feels like it was written by and for me, musically and lyrically it's the song I can relate to the most. But then again all her songs give me a certain feeling -
Is there a forum or something dedicated to her? I feel like 2k17 is gonna be my Karen year, last time I stanned someone this hard was Lana. I'm basically looking for a masterpost of her interviews but I'm really considering making one if there isn't already.

I think it's a big part of why I love it so much, I particularly enjoy music that tells a story and I can't help but think of UV as something like the soundtrack to a movie, the trailer video is one of my fav Lana vids ever because it synthetises this, like it's a story in black and white that could be a documentary à la Let's Get Lost or a sort of film noir that tells the boredom and the escapades of a fallen rich starlet in Los Angeles nights. It could be Lana how she dreams herself to be mixed to who she really is, inspired by her own life, it could be someone totally else, romanticized, it could be something else totally, but for me, rearranged or not, the whole album is a story that makes sense in any way it's looked at. Some songs feel like a drug trip, some like sex, some like depression, some like boredom, some like ecstasy, and it's them all put together that makes the beauty of the album. I said it before but each song as its place, I can't imagine UV without like Flipside, and I think that musically it's one of the extremely rare Lana songs I don't care about. I can count on my fingers the number of albums that have this cohesiveness. It takes all the violent and numb aspects of a restless mind and mixes it all in a swirl and the rawness of the voice, the repetitive lyrics as well, the bare boned production all contribute to it intrisincally. It's not just my favourite album because of the music, it's because the aesthetics, the red line, it just falls into place with extreme accuracy in regards of the overall vibe. It's not one aspect, as Paradixo was saying, it's several aspects that completely stand by themselves separately but create an immense work when put together. I could talk about it endlessly, I discovered Lana with West Coast and Money Power Glory and this album changed my life forever

I dream of Lana a lot (for example I dreamt I was meeting her a few weeks before actually meeting her but it happened in my grandparents kitchen omg I'm still shook) but I also have a lot of nightmares so when I have a good dream it's usually very rare and I take it very personally and tonight I had one of my best dreams with her, I remember it started by Lana posting on instagram a 4min30 video of like the making of of all her other insta videos, what happened before and after, lil pieces of her life, and she was so proud to show it, and for some reasons there also was some ~private~ stuff and also??? the behind the scenes of her wedding????? and I was so surprised???? I don't remember the guy's name and face but I know he was an old dude like Francesco but older and he had a hairy chest (don't ask why I know this) and they got actually married in a tower of some kind (?) and all the bridesmaids were wearing gold dresses and haircuts like Lana at Kanye's wedding (I had the pic of her with Fran's mother in mind I think) and somehow I have now idea how but I managed to contact Lana and we became best friends and I was so in love but she was married but she was totally ok with that so she was with us both and I ended up making her ditch the guy and marry me and I got hold of one of her iphones and I was like I'm going to try to crack dat code to find nudez (which is stupid af since we were married) but I didn't managed to and my very first thought waking up was "but even if I had found the code she would have had her other iphone" it sounds weird af but it was such a nice dream she was really in love with me as well and it was tender af my baby

Actresses Carrie Fisher and mother Debbie Reynolds die at 60 and 84
annedauphine replied to Jack's topic in World News
Honestly this is the first person passing away this year whose death really affects me. She will remain inspiring for generations to come and not just because of the roles she played, her strength was a beacon -
Very hard but I'd probably say Finding Nemo, This Must Be The Place, Astérix et Obélix Mission Cléopâtre, and idk for the rest I really love Finding Nemo

Is the normal version of Trash Magic with a very low Born To Die in the background? I've always had this version but never wondered why BTD was playing in it
