  1. Sorry to quote a post from ages ago but I did a quick search before posting and I'm SOOOOO ECSTATIC I'm not the only one that feels this way about Caro. I adore her music, every single song she's done, I adore her. Absolute sweetheart, gorgeous, and she has more music in her than 99% of all the artists I've listened to. Black Valentine destroys me, I would drop dead if Lana ever even hummed it. However this was the specific song I wanted to post for Lana to cover - I think that if Lana pulled a deep voice like she knows how to, this could be the best Bond anthem the world ever had. But then again, I would kill for Lana to cover ANY Caro song.
  2. Omg This is completely unreachable, @@Elle you're officially crowned the Biggest Stan no one will ever, this is too much for me to understand in one take
  3. That would be huge considering this Edit: And this omg
  4. I super love Be Alright but my neighbours have been listening to Into You on a loop on huge speakers since like an hour and now I much prefer it to Be Alright haha. A really amazing song. Let Me Love You is so so so so good too. She hasn't put out any other songs has she? Omg I can literally hear Into You from outside rn. They played Power And Control earlier I need to go befriend them
  5. Every song from DW I've heard yet has been played on a loop for hours. Flawless productions and melodies, not a single weak point, I really wouldn't be surprised if it becomes my album of the year. Kudos to her for stepping up her music like this it's just purely enjoyable. Into You is beyond incredible

    Melanie Martinez

Just finished a lil cover for CB. God this album changed me, I can't believe I didn't found it at Rough Trade I'm going on a hunt tomorrow to HMV to get Lemonade and try to find it too
  7. Christ on the mothercross I'm gay asf. I want her secret to look this young ilhsm
  8. Raw me mama she looks fantastic I'm glad she's enjoying herself like this. Seeing such a big smile on her face puts a huge one on mine. I'm excited to see how this Jonathan Wilson thing goes on, I remember her saying she wanted to work with more people on the new album and this seems like a good sign
  9. I'm glad this thread exists because I've been on an Emotional Trip™ all morning and relistening to very bad (aka popular at the time) 2009 rnb songs and rock songs and very excellent French hip hop and I need to share it with someone! So enjoy this is way too French it's disgusting I was so into this band omfg they're like the French Artic Monkeys, Adrien's voice is so fucking good This is so funny to me to relisten cause I never thought I would ever listen to them again I've been repressing my love for pop so hard and so long This is one of the best song ever made and I will DBZ anyone that disagrees this guy is god I can't wait to see him. Urgh this is so good I can't stop listening to it fuck me, also it samples a song from one of my favourite albums ever, Courez Courez on Perdu D'Avance by Orelsan, if for you 2012 was Lana for me it was Orelsan and Saez Omg I cried so many times on this I hate everything
  10. Very unpopular but I really can't stand the majority of Nicole's shoots :/ I like a few pictures here and there but I'm just so done with them being instantly associated to Lana, magazines still using these pictures in 2015-2016 really annoys me, it feels like the pictures are describing a character that Lana might not completely be anymore. I like the settings and stuff but for most of the shoots I really dislike the hair make-up and clothes They don't make me feel anything, they're not the shoots where I find Lana to be (the most) pretty.
  11. Remember when we thought it wasn't fashionable to love this song. I'm glad this time is over, every single version of this song is perfect, every remix is good, this melody is one of the best Lana has created I'll never forget the day it leaked
  12. I've searched in the topic but I don't think it has been speculated before - I rewatched Let's Get Lost (side note - I think it's becoming one of my favourite movies) and I'm really really starting to wonder if Jump isn't, purely and simply, about no one else but Chet Baker. _ First and foremost she used the documentary a lot in the video for it (not even to mention West Coast) and we know her love for him. _ "Palm trees in black and white, last thing I saw before I died": there are a lot of occurrences in the documentary where you can see shots of palm trees in black and white, especially in the beginning, from where most of the references in the song as well as West Coast seem to point forward. _ "Right mixture of cocaine and heroin": there is a memorable moment in the movie where he explains the mixture of cocaine and heroin and how you have to be careful not to put too much cocaine because the first blow is devastating. _ "Hair thin and in the wind, Cadillac convertible with him": Lana was HEAVILY, not to say she copied, inspired by the scenes at the beginning of Let's Get Lost of Chet and others in the convertible where he is presented as already, "a very old man", and is laughing. _ "You are a junkie on your window smiling wide": his death, if I understood correctly, was from falling from the window of the hotel he was staying in, at night, and he was found in the morning, with traces of drugs in his body. He, literally, may have jumped. "Last fight, fuck them, last words". I don't know, it really makes sense to me. I would prefer this song to be about Chet than Mike!
  13. Just finished watching the movie, listening to the album is one thing but watching it, oh my God, I'm so affected, most beautiful thing I've seen in years, I cried so much. The spoken parts were astonishing. Fav parts visually were Don't Hurt Yourself and Sandcastles. I think Sandcastles changed me. Stanning as of now
  14. Omfg I'm listening to Sandcastles and burst out in tears at 1:38. It's real asf. Fucking masterpiece. I knew I loved it but I never thought I'd cry on some Beyoncé
  15. I'm approaching 10000 pictures of Lana on my computer. I don't know if it's a lot or not but for me it's SO MUCH. They're 95% organized, I have like 9778 pictures, 7.63Go, 653 folders, counting absolutely everything including fanart but not counting the videos. The thing is, I don't collect EVERYTHING there is, what makes it different is that I ONLY collect the pics I like. I hate this tbh, I think it's very disrespectful towards Lana and super creepy but I can't help. Every single time I class candids I end up with at least 50 more just because she's so beautiful
  16. This will definitely be my first physical Beyoncé album. After a few more listens Sandcastles is slaughtering me. There's something about her voice... Is the movie only available on Tidal too?
  17. One of my fav pictures of her from this year. God she's gorgeous. I love this beautiful woman
  18. Yup, definitely album of the year for me, except if Lana drops an UV style album, I don't see how this can be topped. I really didn't expected to enjoy it so much but it's gorgeous. My favourites after a first listen are Hold Up, Don't Hurt Yourself, 6 Inch, Daddy Lessons (unbelievable), Sandcastles because of her voice, Freedom and Formation. I also like Love Drought and All Night, especially the instrumental of it. I like them all actually. Sorry might be the one I enjoyed the least. Slay me Queen B
  19. Half way through listening and I already know it's going to be one of my favourite albums of the year by far. I feel invincible, this is exactly the kind of music I needed right now. This album may make me stan
  20. Does anyone please have a link? I don't have $$$ for Tidal and I don't know where to start searching and everyone says it's incredible
  21. Omg lol I apologize I'm the worst at answering. Well to be honest my French hip hop taste is mostly... Trash... At least if you're a French real hip hop lover. I love a bit of everything there is, really. I listen a lot of this gangsta rapper called Booba because he's hot af and he comes from the city I grew up in, Boulogne Billancourt, and I love gangsta rap and his flow is so rocky I love it. I actually stan him since I'm 15. I remember when his nudes leaked His new stuff is absolutely unlistenable but 0.9 is one of my top 10 albums ever. Most people I show him too hate him. I also listen to 1995 and most especially what one of the rapper of this band, Nekfeu, has done. His lyrics are very intelligent, he's like a ladykiller rockstar mixed with a popstar but 1000000% pure hip hop. He's playing on the same day than Lana at Vieilles Charrues, I'm praying I can see both. He's so hot too. I love Orelsan so much too, he's like a mix between pop and hip hop I suppose? His lyrics are very relatable and I love his voice, he's funny and cute, I saw him live and it was one of the best acts I've ever had the pleasure to attend. L'Animal isn't very well known, he's white too, his flow is just so good even though his lyrics are weaker, he has an angel face but his voice is so dirty and angry. I saw Klub Des Loosers live with my old best friend, his lyrics are poetry but he's unlistenable if you're not French lol, he wears a mask and his beats are very jazzy and his lyrics are like super dark. DF spits bars like he was paid for it but he got his album for free, slay. Hocus Pocus is excellent, he has a super oldschool flow and voice, he's very respected as a lyricist. Nessbeal is gangsta rap, his lyrics are trash but his beats give me the strength to blow up the world. Odezenne is incredible, poetry lyrics, oldschool meats new school beats. Stupeflip is a crazy ass band of three crazy ass rappers with characters and insane melodies. These are the ones I listen to on the regular but again I really have a bit of everything in store. I prefer French hip hop to American hip hop because I love the technicality and I always found that American hip hop was more """mellow""" sonically because French is very harsh and I dig it. Basically here's a list of a few of my favourites songs from each Be careful that's a shitload of songs
  22. In September 2014 my sister lent me her iPod Shuffle so I could use it to go running. I put a lot of songs on it, and quickly the two songs that became the most played were second MPG and first... West Coast. The rest is history This song changed my life for real and the emotion is the same every single time and will always be. I will never get tired of the chorus, I will always get the same intense chills when the synth starts at the end, I will always get excited just thinking that I'm about to play it. Every versions brings different but just as violent feelings of satisfaction. The video for it is my favourite produced Lana video, perhaps because it's so simple and genuine and so close to her, perhaps because it's basically fan art of something that means so much to her and so I relate being fascinated by fan culture and myself a fan of hers, there's no gimmicks in this video, it's just Lana and her friends having fun and looking absolutely STUNNING, it's what I aspire to and to be. It's also such a concentrate of Ultraviolence. And above everything, missing the premiere will always be my most bitter regret. If one song in the existence of humanity deserves the term "masterpiece", then truly, by all aspects, it's West Coast, and I will never be able to thank Lana enough for creating it because it made me get into her and she's the best thing that ever happened to me.

    Rihanna

Honestly the best thing I've seen since Tropico. I'm an absolute sucker for these kinds of visuals and I love the song I'm just so happy rn. The one and only thing I like less is her haircut but I'd still let her bareback mountain me this was so fucking amazing I want to do something for it

    Selena Gomez

Omg this is like the third sign today that I should get into Charli, I'm definitely going to check her more in depth. I feel kinda ashamed for listening to all of this so late but I will listen thank you!
