  1. Listening to Yes to Heaven V3 while watching the sunset There are no words
  2. This. The next song on NFR that has an acoustic guitar in the production is probably gonna be considered her magnum opus too
  3. So I just stumbled upon this and my thirst for the Love Demo was reignited. Ugh the things I would give for an orchestral+50s themed Lana album https://youtu.be/2Uiz0D9uYdA https://www.instagram.com/p/BR20NB4BjRw/

    Dua Lipa

This should’ve been released. It sounds so good. I feel like it would’ve worked as a part of a movie soundtrack or some commercial/campaign. The production also gives me Jack Antonoff vibes with that piano in the background.
  5. Omg finally listened to this. This song is a bop and her vocals sound so good!
  6. Ugh I need this album Imagine all the gems she’s saving for NFR
  7. Omg these sound like old Lana lyrics I’m living
  8. Yosemite, Architecture and RBFY are officially DEAD These new songs + the other songs she’s teased from NFR already make up like 10/11 of the tracks
  9. Well based on everything she’s said about the writing process, it was supposed to be more in the vein of Honeymoon sound-wise with early Joan Baez and Shangri-Las influences. But after all the political turmoil she wanted to “update” the sound so it would be more connected to the present or something. So yeah. It’s really anyone’s guess but I’m inclined to believe it was a hybrid of more guitar/folk oriented tracks (Yosemite, Architecture) alongside tracks that had a similar vibe to Honeymoon (explains the orchestral sound in the demo versions of Love & 13 Beaches) Older tracklists of LFL probably featured these songs as they were the earliest songs written for the record: Love 13 Beaches Groupie Love Get Free / Malibu Beautiful People Beautiful Problems Heroin Yosemite Architecture Interesting bit where she talks about why the theme of LFL changed the way it did and wasn’t so serious. “I’m thinking about that. It goes in line with how I thought I was going to be in this more grown-up zone [writing this record], but actually I’m still somewhere right in the middle. When I think of that song I think of nighttime and this idea of, I don’t know, breaking into somewhere and carving up and kissing. That’s fun for me; like the place where I’m not 100 per cent in something really solid relationship-wise, where you’re still going out and meeting new people and all that stuff. And also, this Hollywood-centric environment is still an important thing that gives me life, being in town and the characters and the constant heatwave. It’s a little bit of a cliché – I totally get it; but I still feel like it enhances something in me that’s already cooking.”
  10. Listened to Crybaby yesterday and wow I did not realize how cringey a lot of the songs were. Even Training Wheels and Mrs. Potato Head don’t do much for me anymore. On the other hand, Haunted is literally one of her best songs
  11. Watched Asylum again and it’s literally the best season I can’t. It’s crafted so well and Jessica Lange/Sarah Paulson’s acting is fucking amazing
  12. One or two songs from Rick probably. She said somewhere in an interview that she had 3 songs she had wanted to put on a new record by the time she met Jack.
  13. At least we have snippets LFL era was months of no information besides ambiguous lyrics and #SR and #YAIL on every other page
  14. Potential album release next month if she’s feeling ambitious but it’s probably coming in March or something Hoping she’s done shooting the music videos for the next singles
  15. ? Roses Bloom for You Prom Song (Gone Wrong) Driving in Cars with Boys Hollywood’s Dead Queen of Disaster Young and Beautiful JFK Starry Eyed The Good Life
  16. It’s so old now but I really love the video for Around You for some reason? It has that really soft (almost blurry), dreamlike look a lot of K-pop music videos have and it’s so nice. Imagine a Lana MV with that cinematography
  17. Yeah and VB has some of her worst released lyrics but the instrumental/sound makes it bearable
  18. That’s true. I just hope she places them next to tracks that actually help explore the themes in MAC/VB instead of just making them the first two tracks of the record lol

    Grimes

Is 4am being released this Thursday as well?
  20. I mean we already have them in full, studio quality. I’d rather there be two new and mysterious tracks we know nothing about considering we basically know the entire tracklist of NFR at this point Edit: Plus, there’s already a few months in between the release of MAC/VB and the album so I want something that sounds fresh at release and not overplayed
