Those lyrics are from the BP demo. They’re both separate songs, just written for the same project (Big Eyes).

Eclipse confirmed TGL as another Lana song that was written for Big Eyes alongside BP. Written post-Ultraviolence and supposedly has a jazzy sound. There’s a whole thread about it here. There’s nothing concrete about M (SOM) yet but I remember a user here said he joined a Discord chat where they mentioned the titles of LFL outtakes and M (SOM) was one of them. Seeing how Eclipse tweeted it, I guess it’s basically confirmed now.

Jesus. Titanic is a literal psycho, poor Mars. I wonder if Poppy was aware of all of this but considering how manipulative Titanic is, I wouldn’t be surprised if Titanic made Mars seem like the bad guy. If Poppy was complicit while knowing all of this, I genuinely have zero respect for her. I really liked the Poppy project and her songs but the morally right thing to do would be to cut ties with Titanic, even though that’d kill the entire brand. I like Poppy and Mars. This sucks but it is what it is. Titanic deserves everything that’s coming to him.

I like the alternate lyrics more but the way she sings it is kind of rough. It would have been perfect if it was re-recorded.

I’m only really hyped for the demo versions of Love and 13 Beaches because they’re predominantly orchestral (supposedly). I always thought Lana’s vocals sounded heavenly alongside strings so that type of production is kind of a dream come true for me. I know a lot of people are looking out for the 13 Beaches demo because Eclipse described it as being even darker than Honeymoon (the song) and having “horror movie” vibes.

I remember a lot of people being excited about it back when Lana first posted those rehearsal snippets and it pretty much became a fan favorite the moment it was released. The drumroll and the swearing is a nice touch but it still doesn’t save the song for me. The songwriting just comes off as lazy but I think it was meant to be that way. A cute, simple track. Nothing too complex. In any case, it’s still not album worthy to me at all.

Didn’t Lana say so herself that she felt the stuff they wrote was more suited for Miles instead of her? Not a surprise that she isn’t heavily featured. Damn. I really wish that side project with Miles happened. I really wanna hear her vocals over this gritty, grungier sound.
