We all remember where we were when this trailer dropped didnt we..? 60s beehive, neon eyeliner, surf visuals, the comically built guy, 50s-60s cartoonish gestures of lana and the guy, the nfr festival tour ended not long before, looking for america and season of the witch - Jesus. What a time to be a teenager in summer of 2019 and having nfr! waiting for ya… music in 2019 generally was very great. Reverie.

That was my first year of college, right before the pandemic hit, and it was such a great summer/fall enjoying NFR! for the first time :wubna: So much freedom and sunshine that all made the album sound even better!!

I found this picture my best friend (and fellow Lana fan) took of me the first time I came home from college and we listened together... bliss :legend:

  2. Kate Bush’s The Dreaming. Every track is a distinct landscape, but the album also has such strong core themes. All the raw anxiety of being human, with theatrical levity. Experimental, vulnerable, exciting, even funny at times :angie:

  3. I love your videos so much! :defeated: Noir and Peppers especially blew my mind... using that stuttering footage of Ann-Margret (?) to match the beat of Noir is so genius!!! As for the Peppers vid, that's my favorite LDR song and it was crazy how many references to things I *also* love were in there... Sharon Tate, Warhol, Marilyn, Kenneth Anger! Such a cool moment of synchronicity for me, your mind is so powerful :dance3:

@sparklertrailerheaven & @southbeachswing Kate Moss & Kate Bush. Do you agree with your eliminations?

You both had very similar critiques about "falling off" Do you think this narrative was forced upon you, being grouped?

You both were fan favorites up to your elimination, do you feel you let your fans down?

Wow, I've been out of the house so long that I aged 40 years... you best believe I'm still selling out shows and slaying the Commonwealth, though! I'll admit, I found my elimination quite shocking. I never felt that the quality of my submissions decreased, and was actually more confident in my beauty shot than in some of my other looks! Even Lindsay admitted I didn't have the worst submission that week, so it was hard to swallow after a strong track record. It was probably great for ratings, though, and sometimes you've got to chase that coin! Why do you think I sold wristwatches in Japan?!

I'm proud of my sister Kate Moss for carrying on after me, and extremely pleased that RuPaul won. I'll always champion someone who's pushing limits and breaking barriers - plus it's good to see us old bitches holding our own! Now, has anyone seen where I put my bag of bonemeal and lace sachet of weed...

Pretty unremarkable screenshot that's been sitting on my desktop for a while I found from searching Lizzy Grant on LinkedIn

Wiredset were involved in marketing the Kill Kill EP (Only thing that pops into my head is them uploading the Kill Kill video to dailymotion  and I'm guessing the press release/artist bio etc).

Would be fun if somebody could get him to talk. I sent him a LinkedIn message last year and it was never seen.

I could very well be mixing up names, but isn’t Ghuneim responsible for originally filming/posting some of the Lizzy live performances we have? If so, that makes total sense — and I pray he’s still sitting on some footage lmfao

I'm devastated to be leaving the Top Model house, as I feel I had so much left to curse give in the competition... but, I'll bow out with grace, and all of the valuables I could find from around the house stashed in my giant coat. My work is an acquired taste, and I'm glad I could bring an avant-garde edge to the competition, even for a few weeks... this isn't the first time the critics didn't understand my art! The public seemed to embrace it, though... maybe there's something to that voting system idea...

So, I'll make my way to the Rejects' Resort, where my fellow eliminees better prepare themselves!

I'm an artist who loves to experiment with settings, costumes, and props (the ghost of that taxidermied alligator is still haunting me) to tell a story, but this week, I was happy to strip back to the basics and show what I can do with my own magic. I believe that a beauty shot can still communicate so much, so I tried to create a distinct mood with just the use of my expression, some backlighting, and my mane of hair. Like an ancient cipher or the Mona Lisa, I challenge a viewer to guess what I'm really thinking...

So, I've kind of gotten myself stuck in this box, but it was worth it to stick around for another week! As you can see, I'm thrilled to have made it through even after I was sabotaged. I'd consider asking one of the other girls to pull me out, but you never know who you can trust... especially after the house is suspecting me of attempting to give them food poisoning! I'd say you ought to take a second look at Mitski and that shopping cart full of garbage she's still dragging around the house...

We don't have the same level of homelessness in the UK as in the US, so this photoshoot required some imagination -- as did my sabotage from that talentless hack Lana Del Rey! Thankfully, I had a box lying around that immediately reminded me of a upscaled version of the tiny cardboard boxes the homeless are known to sleep in. I coupled this with a messy hairdo and a stripped-back, shoeless look that remains glamorous while channeling the literal streetwear of the unhoused!

Before I go clog the shower drains with all of this sand, I wanted to formally thank my partner Tinashe. I was intimidated to be paired up with an artist so much younger than me, but she was a class act and we even got "2 on" with some of the herb she was growing in the hourglass. I mean, maybe someone should've thought about exposing my 65-year-old smoker's lungs to that much loose sand, but hell, they've seen worse at this point! I'm eager for what should be a very close competition this week!

  12. TINASHE X KATE BUSH: A MATTER OF TIME

    IkgBLqr.jpeg

We may come from different musical worlds, but we had so much fun creating a world of our own in this week's photoshoot! We wanted to convey the idea that human life is fleeting, and that the "sands of time" will eventually run out for us all. However, if we nurture ourselves like a garden, we'll avoid falling into our inner desert before our time. Our photographer David LaChapelle loved the concept, and even though we spent almost all of Running Up That Hill's royalties making the gigantic crystal hourglass, it was well worth it!

(Fun fact: Kate almost drowned in the pool of sand, so we'd better be in the top this week!)

I need a cigarette after tonight's panel... it was anyone's game this week, as all the girls really transformed in their photos. I'm crushed to see Lizzy go. I thought her look was ingenious and creative, both qualities I love in young artists... I think I'll record a ballad arrangement of Betty Boop Boop with a haunting Russian church choir to show the judges how wrong they were!

I think an alter ego can reveal what you'd like to see in yourself, so I built my look with that point of view. Inspired by fantasy and folktale heroines, my warrior woman is bringing all the strength, sexiness, and sense of adventure I'd like to channel in and out of the competition. She's a rogue, she's a royal, she brings it to you every ancient legend!

And don’t let me forget to cite the slayful sci-fi paperback that inspired me:

Wow, it's been a rollercoaster of a day (pun intended, I'm an award-winning songwriter, bitch)! My win was unexpected but so exciting after I tapped into my vulnerability and showed my competition the custom fursuit I've had stashed in my attic since the mid-eighties. Plus, I was totally honored to share the top two with my nominal sister, Kate... do I feel a British invasion coming on? Even Anya's back in my good graces after complimenting my song Cloudbusting!

In speaking of the UK, losing my beloved Victorian brooch at the park actually caused me to black out for the remainder of the trip (the spirit possession is really complicated), but I think I saw it slip into RuPaul's mouth... so she should be coughing that up later, once her dentures are out. Or, I don't really know, she may just now be inhabited by a child who died in a textile factory fire!

It's just too bad my spirit guides won't be able to tell me who to sabotage...
