Anyone willingly with Harvey Weinstein would be the most hated woman/person in the entire country or possibly the entire world. They would be the modern day equivalent of Eva Braun. Think about the lengths they would go to hide it, and god forbid think about if they had in the past had a child with that person. It's the same with Lana as with all the actresses that were the "miramax" actresses like gwyneth paltrow, she did so many movies for miramax (Harvey and bob weinstein's film company) and she said in an interview that it was like an abusive relationship. + Everyone knew about Harvey (at least in the film business but I'm guessing every musician involved with a movie or with movies knew too) but nobody had the balls to speak up about it. She was photographed with him numerous times, she avoided commenting on the #metoo movement until very recently (when basically every other female celebrity who was ever photographed/linked with him, commented on it), she did Big Eyes ... and Cola. Norman fucking Rockwell is a song about men who are this kind of type like Rockwell was and I think the same situation is Cola. She had the type of Harvey Weinstein in her mind when she wrote Cola. I'm not from US so I'm not so aware of how everything works there, for example where I live people are too exaggerated when they talk about the police, and there are good cops, but I guess everything is different and much worse there, so I was going to ask if it was really THAT bad to be a cop in the United States but after reading this thread I think it's clear to me that it is lmao. I've always admired Lana and considering she doesn't usually talk about a lot of social or political things, last year I was a little relieved when she went through all that Kanye thing, Trump, when she said her political views were liberal, then she released Looking for America etc, but suddenly she says she's a centrist and tbh the first time i read that i thought maybe she said it so no one would attack her too much for mentioning Kanye in The Greatest, and that she was being neutral as she is often when she talks about political issues, but i really don't know what to think anymore, after all these weeks of reading bad comments on twitter about their relationship i assume that being a cop in US is really bad. Personally I have never cared too much about her private life or who she dates because we never really know anyone's life, and I even tend to overlook when she makes some uninformed or controversial comments about politics but I really don't know what to think, I've always liked her as a person and I really love her but is true that her comments and her actions are somewhat contradictory, yet I still admire her but with all her statements this year I feel a bit confused idk 1 Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
